Description **Process Engineer**

CI Leader, Process Engineer and technical resource for a 24/7 manufacturing facility. Lead Continuous Improvement for the plant. Utilize Lean/Six Sigma methodologies. Become Continuous Improvement Leader and Black Belt. Make data-based decisions using statistical analysis.

**Job Description**


+ Maintain and improve processes throughout the plant by trouble-shooting problems effecting production and by replacing, modifying or creating processes to achieve a production increase or to reduce operating costs.
+ Provide support to the maintenance and manufacturing teams to ensure that the process control systems are maintained to specification.
+ Program distributed control system. Investigate new technologies and their application and effectiveness within the process.
+ Manage capital projects for process improvements, manage the day to day operations of the PLC systems, identify and implement process equipment and/or operation changes and train plant personnel on new or modified equipment and process control systems.
+ Included in the job responsibility is the role of Environmental coordinator - complete regulatory requirements, reports, and oversee environmental program for the facility.
+ Train employees as required by federal and state environmental law.
+ Work safely and support and promote the safety culture.
**Job Requirements**


+ **Bachelor of Science in** **Chemical Engineer is required.**
+ Paper related processing experience preferred.
+ Solid interpersonal, communication, and training skills that promote teamwork at all level of the business.
+ **Prefer minimum 5 years of experience in process control systems and 5 years of experience in PLC, PC’s, networks, and communication protocols.**
+ **Prefer 5 years of experience in managing process related projects.**
+ Continuous Improvement Lean Six Sigma experience a plus.
+ Environmental regulation compliance experience desired.
+ Willingness to learn, manage multiple responsibilities, and support the manufacturing facility where needed.
+ Physical requirements include working in varying ambient temperature, exposure to noise, dust, vibration, standing, walking, climbing, and visual acuity, working both in the manufacturing environment and in office settings.
