Job Title: Process Improvement Specialist

Location: Jacksonville, FL

Duration: Long-term contract open-ended including full-time benefits

Schedule: Monday-Friday 9:00-5:30 PM

Pay rate: $21/hr.

**Process Improvement Specialist**

The Process Improvement Specialist works collaboratively with teams and department leaders throughout the Johnson and Johnson Vision Distribution Center. The Specialist acts as an organizational process improvement champion who leads departmental and cross-functional teams through all aspects of the continuous improvement effort using Lean, Six Sigma and other effective strategies and methodologies. The Specialist facilitates the identification, understanding and improvement of process issues by using appropriate quantitative and qualitative tools. The Specialist will assist with the development and delivery of process improvement training and education to the organization. As an agent of change, the specialist will serve as a catalyst to create a culture that continuously strives for operational excellence and embraces the principles of process improvement.

Essential Functions

+ Serve as a liaison between internal clients and functional departments; help clients achieve their objectives by serving as a resource in the interpretation, application and compliance with policies, procedures, standards and practices.

+ Identify risks, evaluate controls and prepare findings and recommendations.

+ Ensure through audits that the organizations programs are consistently administered in compliance with organizational policies and procedures, contractual obligations, rulings, laws and government regulations.

+ Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of solutions, policies, practices and processes to ensure continuous improvement, good client relations and adherence to business requirements. Recommend improvements to achieve and deliver high quality, value-added services.

+ Develop, implement, administer and revise policies, procedures and programs that meet business needs; assist and/or lead program development and enhancements.

+ Research, analyze, maintain, modify, validate and prepare data, information and content used in making business decisions. Present findings and articulate results.

+ Produce, edit and distribute a variety of business documents such as reports, proposals, policies, audit results.

+ Create, present and/or facilitate meetings, webinars, conference calls, training programs, education sessions, certifications, etc. for a variety of internal and external audiences.

+ Participate on or lead larger, more complex departmental and/or divisional projects. Plan, organize, monitor and control projects to ensure the effective use of resources and adherence to project management standards and reporting requirements.

+ May participate on Company workgroups and initiatives.

+ Develop and build internal partnerships to improve communication, coordination, collaboration and effective working relationships within own department and across the Company.

**Required Education and Experience**

+ High School Diploma / GED

+ Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification is preferred, Yellow Belt required. 1-3 years of proven experience in Process Improvement using Lean and Six Sigma; Supply Chain experience is a plus.

+ Proven problem-solving experience.

+ Strong communication, facilitation and collaboration skills

+ Trusted professional credibility and proven record of performance with basic analytical and statistical methods.

+ Demonstrated understanding and application of basic software: MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel,
