**Kelly Engineering has a great opportunity as a Product Engineer with a leading company in Phoenix AZ!**

**You will be in charge of the following:**

+ Assist in setting design goals and specifications for product development efforts

+ Research, develop, design and evaluate components, assemblies, processes, and/or equipment/tools

+ Investigate and evaluate existing technologies

+ Actively participate in and contribute to the design and development process, including creating solutions, reporting on progress and design reviews

+ Perform research, design and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods, and production equipment

+ Provide expert technical assistance to production management and employees

+ Review and evaluate in process and final cost reports on assigned projects; advise departments, as necessary, for cost control; develop methods to meet cost targets prior to hand-off to production

+ Act as a customer liaison through correspondence including: manufacturing schedules, submittal of manufacturing procedures, status reports, revisions to drawings, specifications and contracts

+ Provide product development planning by: documenting new process procedures; developing a list of new tools for specific jobs; coordinating with customers technical representative for product approval

+ Interface with engineers, management, production, and customers to develop necessary understanding of improvement needs, assess priorities and provide status updates

+ Plan process improvement activities in advance, when possible, coordinating with all applicable management while ensuring economic and efficient use of material, people, and manufacturing resources

+ Develop and understanding of current and potential process capabilities and process control limits

+ Participate in the design, development and maintenance of automation, configurator, and engineering tools


+ A Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical or a related science.

+ Five or more years engineering experience; proficiency in air handling equipment; an understanding of electronics and electrical circuits

+ Must have fluid systems experience

+ Solidworks Flow Simulation or ANSYS experience is needed

+ Knowledge of manufacturing techniques and process development

+ Analyze process capability and develop and implement improvement plans
