**Kelly Services is actively seeking a Product Manager - Specializing in Auto Parts for a growing company located in Franklin, TN.**



**This is a DIRECT HIRE position with full benefits!**



Product Manager - Auto Parts



**Job Summary**



Overall responsibility for defining, establishing, and managing every aspect of aftersales product category portfolios for special projects including product determination, vendor selection & management, sales & marketing, promotion, application coverage, forecasting, product pricing and product training. Manages and maintains all associated product content, creative, photography, cataloging, and application coverage data for the product portfolio. Responsible for revenues and profitability of product portfolio. Coordinates Purchasing and Quality Teams to define product attributes, features & benefits, market position, and requirements to bring products to market. Performs extensive competitive bench marking and market analysis for product categories managed. Works closely with vendors and establishes terms & conditions to support product category.



**Job Responsibilities**



Identify and launch new parts within defined product portfolio. Define product range and positioning including target quality levels and pricing. Responsible for introduction of product including marketing coordination, launch material, product information, application and catalog content, training, and promotions.



Conduct extensive market and competitor research and benchmarking to establish product category strategy, market pricing, marketing content, sales, and promotional approach.



Creates and maintains short-term and long-range product plan. Develops market and financial case studies to determine the viability of developing new products. Responsible for maintaining product coverage and enhances to existing products.



Defines purchasing strategy and works closely with vendors to establish product coverage, defining a collaborative marketing & sales go to market strategy, logistics and inventory support, and determining supplier commercial terms & conditions, pricing, performance incentives, packaging, and marketing & promotional for supporting product line.



Maintains monthly performance reports for distribution. Develops annual budget and maintains respective budget data for associated sales and marketing programs.



Promotes increased sales through development of product content benefits, coaching and training, and feedback with field personnel and customers for the assigned parts categories.



Manages the development of national sales and marketing initiatives and implements tactics designated to achieve sales and profit objectives by working with vendors, regional and National staff teams, including Finance and Purchasing.



Works within Catalog System to manage, maintain, and update product application information, technical information, part numbering, and product coverage information.



Assist Brand Team with Brand direction by Product Category & Customer.



Develops promotion and incentive programs for product category.



Coordinates the administration, maintenance, and updating of designed product lines catalogues, brochures, web-site information, etc. Updates program information and application charts.



Acts as the "subject matter expert for questions or concerns relating to product category; includes vehicle applications, product questions, shipment status, promotions, and vendor coordination.



**Minimum Qualifications**



Five + years of working experience with product development, market research, customer product expectations, **automotive parts product experience** . Knowledge of automotive vehicle systems and parts applications. Understanding of product technical attributes and characteristics. Working directly with product vendors to design, development, and creative marketing for new product programs. Similar product portfolio management background.



Bachelor Degree in a related Marketing, Sales Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Program Management discipline. MBA preferred.



Advanced user of Excel and/or Access database software.
