**Kelly Engineering** is currently recruiting for a **(Direct Hire) (Product Quality Engineer)** job located in **Conyers, GA.** We are looking for a customer focused problem solver to investigation and resolve product quality concerns. This role will collaborate with the Aftersales Support team in collecting and analyzing in-market issues, collaborate with production for plant floor issues, and partner with the respective function (engineering, suppliers, etc.) to develop and implement solutions. The PQE will lead Structured Problem Solving (8D) training, be key member in driving improvements to Quality processes, and drive development and use of quality metrics.


**What youll be responsible for in this role:**


+ Interact with Aftersales Support, Product Managers, Engineering, Sales, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Sourcing, and Business Planning to investigate customer product quality dissatisfiers and develops recommendations for corrective action

+ Collaborate with Aftersales Support Team and Segment Quality leaders to continually review & analyze Product Quality data to identify, investigate, and develop root cause of product or process in-market product quality issues

+ Leads and/or assist teams in improving product quality through problem solving, failure analysis and improvement projects.

+ Leads Structure Problem Solving and continuous improvement training (A3, 8D)

+ Participate and drive improvements in Quality Board Process which prioritizes and manages product quality improvement portfolio.


**What are the basic qualifications?**


+ B.S. Degree in Engineering

+ 5-7 years experience in product quality improvement


**What are the preferred qualifications?**


+ Demonstrated completion of multiple product improvement projects using Lean and Six Sigma projects or similar continuous improvement methodologies

+ High degree of electro mechanical aptitude


**Candidate must be proficient in the following areas:**


+ Demonstrated record of Failure Analysis and scientific problem solving

+ Use of engineering principles, i.e. fluid, mechanical and thermal

+ Collaborative problem solving techniques

+ Application of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills for dealing with all levels of staff, customers, suppliers and operations

+ Proven ability to function well in a cross-functional team environment with a desire to contribute

+ The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.

+ Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.

+ Ability and willingness to travel up to approximately 15% of the time

+ Demonstrated experience investigating customer facing product quality concerns including conducting customer visits and performing lab testing to validate concerns

+ Demonstrated experience leading teams to develop root cause and evaluate potential solutions

+ Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

+ Six Sigma project experience in improving processes and data collection

+ Excellent oral/written communication skills; including experience writing reports and conducting business correspondence to all levels of the organization, customers, and general public

+ Conducted problem solving training
