The Product Stewardship EHS Compliance Manager is responsible for tracking global product stewardship (PS) regulations, maintaining a database of global regulations (e.g. packaging directives, REACH and REACH like regulations, RoHS, WEEE, etc.) and will support the global product stewardship team on regulatory compliance.

The Product Stewardship EHS Compliance Manager will work closely with the global SME’s for key regulatory functions and experts and the product stewardship leaders of all client indicated business units. This position will also work closely with key internal stakeholders who are driving the implementation of regulatory requirements within: R&D, Supply Chain, EHS&S, Procurement, IT, Governmental Affairs & Policy and Product Stewardship Experts within the client organization.

**Responsibilities.**


+ Lead the global PS regulatory tracking process: Review data bases and regulatory information to track the developing and finalized global PS regulations (e.g. REACH, RoHS, Packaging Directives, WEEE, Batteries, EPR, etc.)
+ Maintain global PS regulatory data base: keep the global PS regulatory tracking tool database up to date by entering new regulations and regulatory summaries.
+ Prepare reports: Develop reports and summaries of regulations to facilitate the understanding and implementation of new and existing PS regulations. Report on regulations that have been passed and implementation status of developing regulations. Prepare checklists to facilitate compliance with regulations.
+ Support PS Compliance Programs: develop and maintain contact lists and perform audits to insure compliance with regulations in all regions of the world.
+ Support data management: review data and perform data evaluation to support our greener product development process and recognition process.
+ Be or become the Subject Matter Expert for regulatory tracking and have in depth knowledge of global PS regulations and requirements.
+ Lead the Governance Process for Affiliate PS compliance: interface with various functions across the world that are complying with PS regulations to insure compliance is occurring. Assist with understanding regulations and give advice on how to comply with regulations like Extended Producer Responsibility requirements.
+ Support Advocacy initiatives working with our Government Affairs team on the development of advocacy positions.
**Qualifications**


+ **Education:** University (Master’s) degree or equivalent, EHS&S / Engineering preferred.
+ **Experience:** 6-10 years of relevant experience, environmental engineering / product stewardship / regulatory compliance
+ Proven project management skills are a must. The candidate is able to demonstrate that s/he led projects successfully in a complex (regulatory and global) environment.
+ Previous experience in a regulatory or product safety role in a global chemical, pharmaceutical or any other relevant company or industry with regards to REACH is a plus.
+ Hands on experience with one or more other global chemical and product regulatory programs in Europe, US, Canada, Japan, China, Korea, including US TSCA, California Prop 65, FIFRA, EU REACH, GHS, PIC, Biocides, RoHS and other chemical product regulations is a plus.
+ Hands on experience with managing IT projects and data management.
+ Relevant EHS&S auditing experience with focus on chemical and other product stewardship regulations is desirable.
+ Attention to detail and able to see the big picture.
+ Proactive, independent, technically competent, assertive, well-spoken, and proven ability to successfully perform in high-pressure, global and cultural diverse environments.
