Kelly Science & Clinical is seeking a Product Stewardship & Regulatory Analyst to join their team in Madison, WI for one of the worlds largest chemical companies with a focus on specialty products. **Product Stewardship & Regulatory Analyst**


**~5.5-Month Contract (full-time, W2)**


**Pay Rate: TBD**


Summary:


+ The PS&R Analyst is responsible for hazard and transport classifications for documents including SDS, Labels, DG Transportation and PCN in support of the following product lines: Dietary suppl (probiotics), Animal nutr, Cult and Food enzymes, Grain Processing, Home and Personal Care, Emulsifiers.

+ The classifications are used for safety data sheets, labels, shop floor papers, transportation documents, PCN registrations and to ensure compliance with applicable HazCom regulations.

+ This position is meant to backfill Candidate at 50% and Candidate at 50% while they are involved in the P40 Exit Project.


Key Responsibilities (% of Time):


Hazard and Transport Classification of products using data obtained via industry associations, vendors, regulatory mandates and the IFF Toxicology team:


+ Classifications are completed daily based on priority. (25%)

+ Authoring of SDS and GHS labels. Initial authoring plus updates. (25%)

+ Poison control notification (PCN) as required for products marketed in the EU or Korea (25%)

+ Providing customer support for inquires and specific document requests. These typically originate from the shared mailbox and are handled on a daily basis. (25%)


Decision Making:


+ Please list types of decisions that are made by incumbent:

+ Classifications of products based on clear and unambiguous data from industry associations, vendors or IFF Toxicology.

+ Response to inquiries where answer in regulations is evident.

+ Please list types of decisions that need to be approved by Manager:

+ Changes in substance classification based on unclear data, or with major impact as defined in SOP.

+ Response to inquiries where regulation interpretation is questionable.

+ Resolution of technical issues where cause and solution is not clear.


Requirements:


+ Essential:

+ Bachelors Degree in scientific field.

+ 5 years experience in a technical or regulatory compliance position in a corporate environment.

+ Experience with the WERCS.

+ Preferred:

+ Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.

+ Knowledge of Global Dangerous Goods regulations.

+ Knowledge of the Globally Harmonized System for Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS).

+ Knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets.
