**_Product Systems Engineer Anderson, SC_**


+ Responsible for the development and implementation of product concepts and ideas from customers and marketing into executable product requirements.

+ Ensures that the product quality is primary objective in all product development and engineering execution tasks.

+ Establishes, tracks and reports R&D plans through use of established project management tools and use of best project management practices (schedules/resource plan/project tracking).

+ Coordinates the development of technical product documentation following the Project Management process, that are required for project execution such as technical specifications, test plans (DVR), DFMEA, DFM/DFA, etc.

+ Plans all resource and work requests performed by engineering support areas such as model shop, agency labs, CAD, reliability, consumer sciences, etc.

+ Ensures the timely preparation and execution of engineering project documentation (ECNs, BOMs, DVR plans and results, drawings, and specifications).

+ Demonstrate creative ability through continuous improvement or other significant contributions to the profession.

+ Assists in the establishment of project/design objectives, goals, and charter.

+ Develop, manage, obtain engineering / cross functional approvals, and execute the Global

+ Evaluation Plans with the engineering centers of excellence:
-Systems Performance
-Safety / Compliance
-Electrical Magnetic Compatibility
-Other critical aspects of production qualification

+ Other duties as assigned.


+ Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering.

+ Minimum of 7 years of experience in product development using project management tools with a demonstrated track record of launching successful and innovative products.

+ Strong R&D management, communication and interpersonal skills.

+ Recorded experience in user centric product development Fit/feel/finish (FFF).

+ Masters of Science in Engineering and/or an MBA preferred

+ Applied Design for Six Sigma tool usage or certification preferred

+ Exceptional and demonstrated mechanical, electro-mechanical, or other engineering product development experience.

+ Demonstrated ability as a problem solver and ability to determine root cause analysis.

+ Knowledge of Plastics/Sheet Metal design/development.

+ Demonstrated PC proficiency is required (MS Office Products/MS Project). Experience with any CAD/CAE software is a strong plus.

+ General knowledge of manufacturing and mass production assembly. methodologies, including design for automation and continuous improvement.

+ Available for limited travel with possibilities of possible extended and/or overnight stays.
