This role also manages the plating processes in a manner that maximizes productivity, meets scheduling requirements and minimizes cost while creating and constantly transforming the plating environment, so it drives to industry Best-In-Class standards

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Strong leadership and organizational skills as well as problem solving and decision-making skills

- Compiles statistics, stores and retrieves production data and measures performance on a weekly basis

- Balances safety, quality, productivity, cost and morale to achieve positive results in all areas of the product manufacturing cycle and works to continuously improve all areas in efficiency

- Strong interpersonal and communications skills both verbal and written

- Excellent track record driving employee engagement

- Monitors the production process and project status ensuring that each project is meeting internal and external customer requirements

- Continually reviews job tasks and work with subordinates to create cost saving measures and/or ideas to improve quality and service

- Prioritizes work, oversees progress and takes corrective action as required

- Interfaces with other departments as required to ensure that production stays on schedule and to resolve work order discrepancies

- Plans personnel requirements in advance to ensure appropriate personnel are available when required

- Ensures environmental Health & Safety procedures are followed, training is current, and personnel are in the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) according to company, local, state, and federal regulations

- Develops and effectively utilizes supervisors and lead personnel

- Conducts performance appraisals and makes recommendations regarding pay increases, promotions, employee development, discipline and termination

- Ensures adherence to all company policies

- Oversees quality control and ensures adherence to company and customer specifications and standards

- Assists in design of equipment and production aids as required

**Requirements**

QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be substituted for the expected levels of education and experience required

Education and/or Experience:

- Must be able to read and write in English

- Five years of demonstrated leadership experience required preferably in a manufacturing setting

- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form

- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

- Thorough knowledge of all machining equipment and manufacturing processes
