Production Operator

$13.00/hr

The purpose of this job is to produce graded powder blends through the safe and effective operation of powder processing equipment and SAP software. Retrieve proper materials for production.

Completes all paperwork and/or computer entry correctly and fully.

Supports all safety activities, including maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Charges powder and solvent into the proper mill, including the safe use of dust collection and vapor control equipment.

5. Sets the mill timer for the prescribed milling time and the start and stop times must be recorded. 6. Takes the sample to the lab and enters the data in the spreadsheet. Operates the vacuum dryer or spray dryer with the correct parameters in control.

Monitors and maintains the dryer temperatures, pressures, flows, atmospheres, and record keeping.

Production Operator, also adjusts the powder properties as described in the powder specifications.

Makes labels and places them on the appropriate powder containers. Weighs the finished powder, store it, record the storage location in SAP and move the powder as needed. Cleans all the equipment: powder hoppers, ball mills, screener, cooling unit, spray dryer, vacuum dryer, hand equipment.

Must be in compliance with K100 requirements. Must use all required PPE for tasks to be performed safely. The operator must be able to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. The operator must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to safely lift at least 80 pounds. The operator must pass the tow motor driving test. The operator must be able to perform basic trouble shooting on the equipment.

The operator must be able to read and understand work instruction, safety warning, batch sheets, and operating instructions.

PayRate: $13.00/hour

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. GED
