Kelly Professional & Industrial is seeking **Production Operators to work in Food Manufacturing for Various Positions** at a Leading Global Food and Beverage Manufacturing Facility in **Clark, NJ** !

**Roles, Shift and Compensation:**


**Compounder**


+ **1st Shift-** M-F 6:30m-2:30pm - **Pay **DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE****

+ **3rd shift** M-F10:30pm-6:30am - **Pay **DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE****

**Job Duties:**


1. Compound formulas accurately by weight and by ingredients and ensure that the best methodology is utilized based upon the particular product or mix.

2. Possess and apply working knowledge of all raw materials before use, ie: mixing/heating to ensure quality and consistency in batches.

3. Utilize inventory lot rotation (FIFO) for all materials used.

4. Possess and apply working knowledge of all pumps, mixers, scales, fork trucks, high density storage units, meters, and computers.

5. Fill out daily scale logs on all scales to be used prior to start of shift. Any discrepancies notify supervisor.


**Job Duties:**


1. Places loose or packaged material on scales and adds or removes portions of material to obtain specified weight.

2. Weighs partial ingredients (scoops and dumps) and records weights and lot numbers on work orders.

3. Partial ingredient information is written on outside of partial containers.

4. Reads work order or formula to determine types and quantities of materials to weigh.

5. Assesses material requirements for work orders to determine if everything needed is available to make the mixes.

6. Plan stock rotation to be sure oldest lots are used first.

7. Calculates number of full containers, sacks, cartons, drums, etc., and partial weight containers that must be weighted out for all ingredients to cover mix requirements.

8. Records weights of materials used for production records, or maintains perpetual inventory of materials used and on hand.

9. Re-weighs remaining ingredient containers and records new weight, lot number, and date on outside before sealing and replacing into storage


**Primary Purpose:**


To compound batches which meet quality and consistency standards in a cost effective, safe and timely manner. Packing and labeling all batches in preparation for shipment to customer of moving into stock.


**Essential Functions/Responsibilities:**

2. Follow all manufacturing instructions on formula batch sheet using proper compounding techniques to ensure product quality.

3. Properly label all batches submitted to the lab for evaluation.

4. Responsible for filling all batch containers at the proper weights and in proper containers, and Marking all containers with the necessary LPN labels

5. Must be able to follow equipment sanitizing SOPs

6. Applies working knowledge related to safe evacuating of product from all tanks

7. Maintain inventory information on filling materials and report to supervisor any shortages.

8. Follow all 5S and Good Manufacturing procedures to maintain good housekeeping and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental laws and regulations.

9. Proper handling of Allergen products and equipment according to Allergen Control Procedures

10. Responsible for conformance to Food Safety and Food Quality Plans as described in the Kerry Clark SQF Systems manual. Must report any and all deviations to a member of management and QA- and set product aside until further instructed.

**Minimum Requirements** :


1. HS or equivalent experience

2. Must have experience within the Flavor or a closely related industry.

3. Must be proficient in compounding techniques and raw materials.

4. Must be proficient in the use of scales and other compounding and filling equipment

5. Must be able to work overtime as needed and be flexible with working hours


**Physical Requirements** :


Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds and move up to 400 pounds. Must be able to operate forklifts and other equipment integral to the job functions. Must be able to see and distinguish between labels. Must be able to stand for extended periods and walk through the warehouse. Must be certified to wear a respirator and follow all rules regarding respirator wear.


**Working Environment** : Factory environment with exposure to flavor, and basic product chemicals and raw materials.
