**Production Planner**


**6 - 8 month position start late April or early May thru to November**


**This role will be supporting a specific portfolio for orthopedic devices**


**Job Description**


The production planning group is focused on delivering end-to-end supply chain value through coordination of all activities leading into, throughout, and away from the manufacturing shop floor. The successful candidate will be able to quickly form connections with many stakeholders of various backgrounds, operate in a fast-paced environment where no two days are alike, and work with a significant level of autonomy. The business will make decisions based upon the Associate Planners analysis, suggestion, and reporting.


Responsibilities:


+ Become a critical, relied-upon member of the manufacturing value stream team.

+ Operate in a dependable, self-sufficient manner among a team of production planners.

+ Develop and run functional reports for the production planning department.

+ Connect with manufacturing, quality, engineering, and distribution colleagues to ensure customer service targets are met by tagging priority orders and tracking work in process.

+ Communicate broadly, both within site to all levels (wage employees through site manager) and external to site (other internal DePuy plants as well as suppliers).

+ Provide updates to domestic and international partners and markets on supply projections.


The site is considered an essential business for medical supplies. Work will likely be a mix of on-site and work-from-home arrangements, to be determined based upon local and corporate guidance relating to the COVID-19 pandemic.


+ Scheduling manufacturing floor/production

+ Making adjustments to priority jobs

+ Drafting communication to custs on product delivery dates

+ Reviewing and assessing capacity models

+ Maintaining master data in ERP system

+ Running reports on emetrics (lead time, scrap rate etc.)

+ Needed for project that FTE was pulled off this is to fill gap for that person working on an internal project.


Qualifications:


+ Bachelors degree is not required but a plus preferably in Business, Finance, Engineering, Operations, or Supply Chain.

+ Minimum of 2-4 years experience in Production Planning, Supply Chain Systems, Purchasing, Distribution or Transportation is a big plus they can train but this would be highly desirable

+ Proficiency with SAP, JDE, ERP systems is a plus but not required, and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required.

+ Basic knowledge of master data elements and function within ERP system is a plus

+ Strong analytical and quantitative skills

+ Candidate must be able to demonstrate successful leadership, planning management expertise, and strategic thinking

+ Experience should demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively cross-functionally with all levels of management and influence data-driven recommendations across a matrix organization.

+ Must be able to demonstrate initiative and lateral thinking to problem solve/troubleshoot

+ The ability to adapt to meet rapidly changing priorities.

+ Experience in direct material operations/production and finished good planning is preferred.

+ Medical Device industry experience is preferred/a plus.

+ Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.


**Top 3 Most Critical "Must Have" Job Requirements are** : Strong communication skills, ability to collaborate, capability to glean insight from data interpret data


**Preferred Skills ("Nice to Haves"):** Productions, FDA regulatory environment or anything similar in nature,


Experience working with suppliers/supplier relationship management is a big plus
