Our client is seeking a working Shift Supervisor in their Fairburn, GA facility for a 1st Shift Direct Hire Opportunity.

Supervisor will examine all operations for quality defects, ensure that work is completed in a timely manner and is in compliance with all work orders, train new employees, cross-train experienced employees to promote familiarity with and skill in operating various types of equipment, and perform minor maintenance/repairs as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


• Prioritize, schedule and delegate work assignments to hourly staff.

Experience with extrusion lines is highly desired

• Coordinate with other departments to maintain production schedules.

• Inspect products and processes, ensuring the meeting of quality standards in accordance with customer and company specifications.

• Keep management informed on general conditions and on matters of importance which could impact quality, cost, and safety or employee morale.

• Attend and actively participate in all assigned meetings.

• Complete special projects as assigned.

• Ensure the completion of all required records, paperwork, reports, documents, etc.

• Ensure the maintenance of departmental housekeeping standards.

• Must be mechanical, working supervisor able to work under pressure.

• Ability to work flexible hours and weekends when needed.



Requirements

• Bachelor's degree OR an equivalent combination of training and experience.

• One to two years of related work experience in a leadership role in a manufacturing or plant environment.

• Strong leadership skills and the ability to take initiative.

• Process engineering experience.

• Good interpersonal skills to interact with customers and employees.

• Excellent Microsoft Office skills, preferably extensive Excel skills
