**Job Description**

Job Purpose

The FCRA Processor will be responsible for processing, resolving, and responding to customer disputes related to credit bureau reporting.

Duties and Responsibilities

Respond to general customer information inquiries.

Enter data into dispute tracking database.

Act as a liaison between the Company and credit bureaus on all regulatory updates.

Maintain a good relationship with the credit bureaus and acts as the first point of contact.

Investigate, answer, and resolve credit reporting disputes within set parameters.

Investigate disputes involving claims of fraud and/or identity theft.

Retrieve daily disputes received through E-Oscar.

Research and respond to the dispute and perform the necessary updating of the loan data and E-Oscar.

Respond within the time frame established by E-Oscar.

Retrieve credit disputes received through the mail.

Research and respond to the disputes along with all corrections within 30 days from date of receipt.

Retrieve emails and phone calls from branches regarding customers disputing information and/or requesting information.

Respond to questions regarding credit inquiries via the mail.

Respond to consumer s request for good faith adjustments.

Perform account level reviews and root cause analysis.

Update loan data on internal systems, as needed.

Perform all functions in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).

Ensures confidential, sensitive information and data of the Company is secured and disposed of in accordance with company policies and guidelines.

Maintain and log all credit report inquiries and disputes.

Verify all reporting is in compliance with FCRA and CDIA Credit Reporting Resource Guide.

Assist with other duties, as required.

Minimum Qualifications

Two (2) years of experience required in related field.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Must pass pre-employment screenings.

Preferred Qualifications

Two to four years of previous experience in credit reporting research or similar field.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Preferably 1+ years of experience in the consumer lending industry.

Ability to read credit bureau reports.

Critical Competencies

Excellent communication skills; verbal and written.

High level of integrity.

Excellent organizational, interpersonal, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization

Ability to work well with other team members.

Possess problem-solving skills.

Possess strong negotiating skills.

Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.

Working Conditions

This position primarily works in an office environment, sitting at a desk, and working on a computer. This position requires willingness to work a flexible schedule. This position requires the ability to retain information and execute multiple processes on a daily basis.
