**Licensed Professional Mechanical Engineer -HVAC, steam, chillers**

Kelly Engineering Resources is searching a Mechanical Engineer with strong competency in HVAC & Mechanical Systems Design on behalf of our client, a provider of turnkey facility process equipment. Our customers business is a both an EPC firm and an OEM of custom equipment processes that integrates into building utilities. They work across multiple industries and markets, including automotive, aerospace, energy, chemical, laboratories and manufacturing on projects for R&D, laboratories, product equipment, controls & facilities. Your main focus will be on **design of Industrial HVAC & Mechanical Systems (plumbing, chilling towers, steam/gas, fire suppression, etc.), code review & commissioning.** This will include leading design team meetings and developing designs from concept through construction documents for a variety of laboratory, process, and industrial projects.

**Essential Responsibilities:**

+ Lead preliminary concept discussions with clients on challenging and often unique projects.

+ Determine equipment sizing and capacity assessments for early design concepts

+ Interface with external design consultants for structural, architectural, or specialty equipment coordination.

**Qualifications of the Successful Mechanical Engineer, PE**

+ Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent degree.

+ Professional Engineer License or E.I.T with the ability to become licensed is required

+ Minimum 5 years of experience in producing design documents for HVAC building systems in manufacturing, chemical, test lab or other technically complex facilities.

+ Knowledge of chilled tower, process and hot water systems, steam, gas, refrigeration, compressed air, fuel, comfort and process air side systems.

+ Experience with fire suppression and plumbing systems.

+ Ability to create design documents in AutoCAD (required) and REVIT (highly desired)

+ Excellent communication and technical writing skills required.

+ Strong problem solving, organizational, and time management skills.

+ Ability to work well in project team environment, including: being a team player, taking initiative to improve personal and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively with all internal and external levels and groups.

+ Ability to travel to customer facilities for design meetings, equipment installation supervision, and commissioning.
