Description **Program Manager**
**Position Summary**

**Responsible for new product development and project management** related to conceptualization, design, development, verification, and launch. The PM is also responsible for tracking and reporting project status.

**Duties and Responsibilities:**

Managing new product development project/program which includes both software and hardware products.


+ Follow the stage gate (milestone) process in project management, lead the project team to achieve the goals defined by each stage gate.
+ Create project charters, and define the work scope with simple clear description
+ Form project teams, and keep the communication within the team efficiently and effectively
+ Create project risk management scheme, identify, rank and mitigate each risk item
+ **Plan project schedule using MS Project, and track project KPIs** , such as product cost, resources, schedule, expenses, etc.
+ Establish a critical path for each project, and manage resources and the critical path.
+ Create and maintain prioritized task tracker for team members to keep them working on critical path items
+ Work closely with Product Management, Engineering, IT, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Field Operations, and Customers to understand business and customer needs, and translate into product specifications
+ Update project status on weekly basis and communicate it to the team and upper management. Address important issues and request for assistant
+ Coordinate and oversee internal and 3rd-party testing and evaluation
+ Communicate sourcing needs to Procurement or directly with Suppliers
+ Coordinate and manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project
+ Prepare product reviews and demonstrations
**Qualifications Required:**




+ Strong technical experience with mechanical engineering – **BS in Mechanical Engineering preferred**
+ **Strong Project Management experience**
+ **5** + years related experience in leading project for new product development
+ Fluency in **MS-Project (or other scheduling application), MS-Word, Excel, and Power Point**
+ Strong analytical, problem solving, and budgeting skills are required
+ Individual should be a self-starter, able to manage multiple projects, work with limited supervision, and be a problem solver
+ Candidate should possess excellent communication (oral and written), time management, interpersonal, and decision making skills
+ Technical specification writing skills
+ Professional, personable and motivated team player
