Kelly Engineering Resources is seeking a **Mechanical** **Project Manager** to join a leading manufacturer of shaft hoisting technology and systems at their facility in Milwaukee, WI. The Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing orders through the process of the quotation stage through commissioning. The ideal candidate will have a background in mechanical engineering and a minimum of four years of recent experience in project management (cradle-to-grave). This is a hands-on role and requires sound technical knowledge in the mechanical engineering of custom equipment and the ability to travel up to 30% to customer sites.

**Primary Responsibilities:**

+ Manage technical and commercial projects for custom mining equipment (USD 100k to USD 10 million)

+ Participate in complete project cycle: quote prep, sales support/meetings, project creation, purchasing/manufacturing, delivery, installation, commissioning, after-market support, documentation

+ Create and maintain project tracking spreadsheets (Excel) with engineering, vendor and customer data

+ Work with vendors to quote, manufacture and deliver items to meet quality and lead time requirements.

+ Create and maintain project schedules --manage vendor base and internal team to comply

+ Maintain positive, results-driven working relationships with vendors, customers and co-workers in person and via virtual meeting/phone/email

+ Maintain complete product documentation for various document types throughout a projects lifecycle

+ Purchase components solicit bids and evaluate multiple vendor quotes for best value

+ Inspect items at vendor locations for acceptance testing and validation

+ Inventory and ensure shipping accuracy as needed

+ Provide general engineering support for project as needed in office or on site

+ Participate in design of parts and assemblies to fit new and/or existing equipment

+ As needed, complete/review 3D models and produce/review drawing packages for various mechanical and hydraulic parts and assemblies

**Minimum Qualifications:**

+ Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or similar technical degree

+ 5+ years experience in Project Management and previous technical experience/background (Mechanical Engineering, Application Engineering, etc.)

+ Proficiency with SolidWorks CAD software (modelling and drawings) strongly preferred (EPDM, Simulation, Electrical, )

+ Experience with construction/mining heavy machinery via internship or previous employment is highly desired

+ Hydraulic circuit design, build or testing background via internship/employment is a benefit

+ Foreign language skills a plus (Spanish, German, French)

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access)

+ MS Project or similar scheduling software

+ Willingness to travel is critical (up to 30% of time)
