The Sr Project Ops Specialist acts as a trusted advisor to the development and clinical R&D project managers and project teams to effectively plan, manage, and deliver R&D projects. The role is a core member of the R&D Project Operations group which enables project execution through established project management standards, processes, and tools.


Partnering with Project Directors and Managers, the Sr Project Ops Specialist manages key business processes in support of project planning and management, including schedule development, resource planning, budget forecasting, reporting, project reviews, and governance readiness. The Sr Project Ops Specialist is an expert in all PM delivery capabilities and ensures optimal adoption and utilization of existing and new capabilities by providing end-user training and support.


+ Act as the Site or TA Champion for the Project & Clinical Vision tools. Within the development team this role advises Project managers how best to attain the desired result using RDPM tools.

+ Manage the development of detailed project schedules, ensuring all project activities, dependencies, and durations are captured correctly.

+ Facilitate the loading of Project Detail Pages with project metadata, risks, issues, and other project information.

+ Provide training and support to Project Managers on Project Vision tool utilization and escalate any issues or findings.

+ Integrate the interdependencies from other Projects through Project & Clinical Vision.

+ Responsible for reviewing and ensuring data updates and data accuracy, providing coaching and guidance to RDPM staff.

+ Ensure adherence to R&D Project Management standards and processes.

+ Particpate in PST & other development business meetings where appropriate, to help drive success in the creation and management of development projects.

+ Support the development of training materials and user guides for Project & Clinical Vision

+ Generate standard and ad hoc reporting for Project Management management portfolio planning, therapeutic leadership, and project teams.

+ Ensures timely communication of key activities and deliverables to teams within Project Management and to all relevant stakeholders.

+ Develops and maintains strong working relationships with both internal and external collaborators and stakeholders across all geographical regions.

+ Participates in continuous improvement activities to drive enhanced functionality in the use of the toolset within RDPM.


**Education**


+ B.S. in Science or Business Administration or equivalent education.


**Experience**


+ Minimum of 2 years project management experience working with cross-functional teams supporting global initiatives.

+ Experience implementing and managing project controls for schedule, cost, and resources.

+ General knowledge of the overall process of drug development

+ Systems implementation or change management experience a plus
