**Project Manager**



We manufacturer highly engineered niche products for the aerospace, military and medical markets from our modern facility in Southwestern Connecticut **.** Our recent success has provided the foundation for further growth and diversification. We are in the process of reaching for our next level of achievement based on the talents of our employees in product innovation, product quality and customer service.



We are looking for a Project Manager. The Project Manager ensures that the project is delivered on time, to budget and to the required quality standard (within agreed specifications). He/she ensures the project is effectively resourced and manages relationships with a wide range of groups (including all project contributors).



The Project Manager is also responsible for managing the work of consultants, allocating and utilizing resources in an efficient manner and maintaining a co-operative, motivated and successful team. The successful individual will be part of a close-knit group with full exposure and involvement in all aspects of the company. He or she will perform technical and administrative engineering tasks to secure and sustain qualification in support of company objectives to provide continued leadership in aviation, marine and ground vehicle lighting.





**Key responsibilities**




+ Design and development of new products for Lighting and NVTE business units.

+ Oversee phase review process for Lighting, NVTE and HES business units.

+ Oversee qualification testing process for aviation, marine and ground vehicle lighting applications.

+ Review / Generate qualification documents (QTP, QTR, ATP, TRR, etc.)

+ Support sales department as needed for new or/and existing products.

+ Direct meetings and technical presentations.

+ Interface with company technicians, and outside vendors/suppliers to develop product design specifications and optimize production processes

+ Planning the overall project and monitoring the progress;

+ Managing risks and issues and taking corrective measurements;

+ Coordinating the projects and their interdependencies;

+ Managing and utilizing resources across projects;

+ Aligning the deliverables (outputs) to the projects outcome





**Education:** Bachelor of Science in Engineering





**Training Requirements (licenses, programs, or certificates):** n/a




+ CAD: AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks

+ CAE: Autodesk Simulation or SolidWorks Simulation or ANSYS

+ Microsoft Office

+ Microsoft Project





**Knowledge Requirements:**




+ Good knowledge and handling of project management methodology and techniques;

+ Good understanding of the wider objectives of the program;

+ Ability to work positively with the wide range of individuals involved in program management;

+ Good knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures; and

+ The ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems.
