Description **QA Chemistry Lab Technician, Anaheim, CA**

**Schedule/Shift:** 1st shift, Mon.-Fri. 8:00am-4:30pm. Flexibility to cover additional shifts is a plus, but not required. OT is available if desired!

**Pay Range:** $16-20/hr, open depending on experience

**Position Type:** Contract position with potential for full time hire

**Job Duties and Responsibilities:**


+ Work independently and multi-tasks perform chemical and physical analyses and samples required for quality assurance of products or processes, draw conclusions based on results, and provide product adjustments as needed.
+ Perform microbiological testing.
+ Communicate timely results and provide support to production.
+ Analyze SPC / SQC and method validation data.
+ Routine responsibilities; approve incoming and outgoing material, disposal of samples, solution preparation, preparation of non-standardized reagents and housekeeping
+ Provide accurate and appropriate documentation of results, equipment maintenance, and calibration in laboratory logbooks, spreadsheets, LIMS and certification of analysis.
+ Follows safety procedures. Performance of the manufacturing organization to established safety, health, environmental goals in conjunction with Responsible Care guidelines.Ensure EHS & S compliance with PSM regulations.
+ Participate in departmental and continuous process improvement; contribute ideas and suggestions for improving work processes.
**Job Requirements:**


+ Bachelor's (BS) degree Chemistry or similar field with laboratory experience in a manufacturing environment with one (1) - three (3) or more years of laboratory experience. Additional candidates with a minimum of 2 years college chemistry will be considered.
+ Strong organizational, writing skills, people and communication skills.
+ Must read, write, and speak English.
+ Able to effectively communicate clearly with a two-way radio
+ Demonstrate ability to quickly learn new technologies (instrumentation, test methods, software, etc.)
+ Strong initiative and desire to work in a team environment
