Description **QA Production Team Lead – Killeen, TX Area (Texas Hill Country)**

Kelly Scientific Resources is currently recruiting for a QA Production Team Lead for the Killeen, TX area for a food manufacturing company. Enjoy living in a small town on the northeastern edge of the Texas Hill Country. This company is located about 1 hour north of Austin.

**Responsibilities:**


+ Responsible for supervising technicians to closely monitor product quality and food safety to ensure compliance.
+ Responsible for leading all regulatory compliance, training and managing staff
+ Establishing audit-ready procedures for the facility, record-keeping; laboratory management, maintaining quality, food safety and sanitation procedures
+ Understanding of labeling, exports and sanitation processes
+ Obtain proper documentation from all suppliers to ensure compliance
+ Ensure compliance with all USDA and other applicable government statutes and regulations
+ Develop, test, implement and manage quality operational procedures, practices, requirements and standards, according to scientifically sound protocols
+ Manage facility’s quality, food safety and sanitation assessment (audit) program, and represent facility during all third party and regulatory audits
+ QA review of records includes ensuring accuracy of data
+ Responsible for internal auditing and quality review practices
+ Responsible for training manufacturing personnel on proper GMP compliance
+ Conduct evaluations and audits of production to ensure procedures are being followed in accordance with GMP compliance
+ Provide corrective actions as necessary.
**Requirements:**


+ BS in Food Science, Meat Science, Microbiology or related field
+ Certifications through ASQC, SQF, GFSI and other professional quality associations are helpful
+ Experience with Meat is necessary
+ Minimum of 4 years in Quality Control/Quality Assurance experience in USDA food manufacturing environment

+ Management/Supervisory role experience in a food industry is required
+ Experience working in a USDA regulated facility

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ 2nd Shift (2:30pm- 11:30pm)
