**Customer Job Title:** Quality Assurance Supervisor


**Job Description:**

The Quality Assurance (QA) Supervisor is responsible for ensuring compliance to Client food safety and quality policies and programs and overseeing a team of 6-10 QA Specialists and Technicians. Successful candidates will be familiar with GFSI certification and thrive in a fast-paced, detailed, collaborative environment, where product quality meets the highest standards. The Quality Assurance supervisor reports to the Director of Quality and Food Safety.


Essential duties and responsibilities


Ensure that all food safety and quality assurance programs and procedures are implemented and followed

Oversee daily activities of a team of QA Specialists and Technicians, providing assistance if needed

Ensure internal food safety and GMP inspections are carried out and issues are resolved in a timely manner

Assist with customer complaint investigations

Manage product holds and FDA detained product

Ensure all received products, primary contact packaging and products internally processed ingredients are compliant with Clients specifications

Assist with the testing of products for certificate of analysis generation and the distribution of the certificates of analysis

Resolve issues that arise on a daily basis

Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements


Experience leading a team of QA Specialists and Technicians in supporting department and company goals

Bachelors degree in Food Science or a related field. (Biology, Chemistry)

Familiar with GFSI, BRC

Minimum 2 years experience in food manufacturing industry

Strong leadership, supervisory and communication skills

Computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization

Strong problem-solving and decision making skills; attention to detail

Must be familiar with database systems and be able to input and retrieve data

Bilingual Spanish/English a plus
