Description Kelly Scientific Resources is currently seeking a Quality Control Assay Specialist for one of our top clients in the Houston, TX area. This is a direct hire, permanent position.

As a QC Assay Specialist placed with Kelly Scientific Resources, you will conduct testing and analysis to support the quality control of manufactured biologics and the technical transfer of assays between technical development and production.

**Additional Job Responsibilities:**


+ Support key functional, tactical, and operational aspects of the QC group, which includes testing and all activities associated with executing this testing in a cGMP manner.
+ Cell culture, reagent qualification, testing support for drug substance, drug product, and raw materials
+ Support for transfer, qualification and validation activities as appropriate, support for assay control, robust and compliant cGMP documentation practices and providing sound technical support
+ Adherence to all GLP/GMP requirements, a basic understanding of FDA/EMEA regulations, effective interactions / communication with Quality management, personal development, and support of investigations impacting the QC department
+ Support the Supervisor / Manager for activities related to interviewing and training of employees, compliance with GMP, and identifying and implementing corrective actions on the floor
+ Work effectively within the group, within Quality and across site, which requires solid written and verbal communication skills
**Job Requirements:**


+ MS or BS degree in Life Sciences field
+ 2-5 years of relevant laboratory experience
+ Demonstrated technical ability to perform cell-based, protein-based, and chemistry-based assays
+ Solid presentation, oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate with peers and management
+ Effective organizational skills; ability to multi-task and coordinate multiple activities in parallel
+ Solid understanding of biological science principles
+ Demonstrated instrument/method troubleshooting and problem solving skills
+ Knowledge of GMP and FDA regulations
