Kelly is hiring for a **Quality Control Program Manager** position with one of our clients in **San Diego, CA.**


+ 1 st shift

+ 9 months contract (May be extended or converted)

+ $50/hr


Job Description:


+ Ensures that quality control processes are established, implemented and maintained within the organization as the need arises by standards and regulations

+ Understand Customer needs and Operational requirements essential for delivering quality product on time

+ Identifies training needs, develop training concepts and manage trainings for QC related processes

+ Carry out in-house processes and procedures maintaining compliance to ISO 13485 standards

+ Provide guidance and expertise to workstream QC Operations personnel by coaching, mentoring, and developing people and by encouraging a culture of learning

+ Oversee (OOS) Out of Specification investigations and general troubleshooting with an effort towards timely resolutions

+ Establish QC metrics, data trending, and drive actions for department improvements

+ Partner with cross-functional team members to drive and complete critical quality, cross-functional and cross-site initiatives

+ Develop and implement to a resource plan for business sustainability, risk mitigation and growth

+ Drives the implementation of analytical tools and techniques to ensure robust Quality products

+ Provide 1:1 and group feedback on task completion to team

+ Resolves any obstacles by providing procedure or product performance technical guidance to the QC Lab

+ Exercises judgment within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action

+ Leads and participates in cross-functional teams

+ Summarizes data to trend and analyze product performance

+ Deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly metrics

+ Supports quality initiatives such as process and product characterizations that lead to continuous / cost improvements

+ Provides guidance as needed on troubleshooting and lab investigations to other QC personnel

+ Owns high-risk Non-Conformances/ Deviations / CAPAs

+ Embodies cultural values and aligns daily actions with department goals and company culture


Qualifications and Education Requirements:


+ Minimum B.A. or B.S. degree in Life Sciences field or comparable education.

+ Preferred 7 years of experience in QC/medical device/biotech industry or related field


Preferred Skills:


+ Previous leadership experience

+ Excellent written and oral communication skills

+ Strong attention to detail, observation, organization, and strong documentation and leadership skills

+ Familiarity with quality standards and processes to follow federal, state, and local regulations

+ Analysis, critical thinking and problem-solving skills to review systems, find flaws and pose solutions to those flaws

+ Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize multiple tasks/projects and meet deadlines.

+ Sets stretch goals and links them to strategic outcomes and business goals

+ Comfortable with ambiguity

+ Experience in FDA-regulated and/or cGMP environment

+ Experience with CAPA/NCMR/RCA

+ Operational Excellence (OPEX)/PPI/continuous improvement experience preferred

+ Experience in data trending/tracking/analysis preferred
