Description Kelly Scientific Resources is currently seeking a highly motivated, experienced **Quality Assurance Manager** for one of our top ink clients in the Cincinnati, Ohio area. This position is a full-time temp-to-hire opportunity; **_1st shift_** ; START IMMEDIATELY.


The correct individual will need to have good technical knowledge of inks, coatings, paints, dispersions, and/or pigments.


**Responsibilities include:**


+ New product development; i.e., new bases, fast dry/slow dry sustainable inks and varnishes, improved resolubility, defoaming, viscosity and pH stability for bases, inks, and varnishes
+ Raw materials evaluation and testing; i.e., establish new raw materials of equal or improved performance at lower costs
+ Seek and establish back-up suppliers of raw materials
+ Maintain laboratory records
+ Interface with customers in all aspects of ink usage and formulations
+ Interface with Sales Personnel for customer new products and requirements
+ Develop new Safety Data Sheets and modify existing ones, as required
+ Implement, audit and maintain the ISO-9001 requirements of the Company
+ Provide VOC reports to customers who request them
+ Oversee OSHA/Safety requirements
+ Determine raw material suppliers and negotiate prices/terms
+ Examine customer complaints/problems and recommend solutions/improvements
+ Respond to customer environmental inquiries
+ Other duties may be assigned.
**Experience Requirements:**


+ At least 5 years’ experience in a lab setting, is a must
**Educational Requirements:**


+ Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, or science related field
+ Ability to successfully read and interpret documents and manuals
+ Advanced mathematical skills using fractions, percentages, decimals, etc.
