**Job Description:**

The Quality Assurance Manager plans, coordinates and supervises quality assurance program and system designed to ensure quality production of electronic products and machinery consistent with established standards. Performs quality audits and initiates corrective action.

**Responsibilities and Duties**

+ Establishes, maintains, and monitors all quality assurance standards, procedures, tools and practices across the organization.

+ Monitor all operations that affect quality.

+ Conducts training to establish quality assurance and testing principles and expectations as part of each project team.

+ Develops and maintains relative metrics related to the testing initiatives across the organization.

+ Works with all departments to implement process improvements, increase process yields and reduce COPQ.

+ Works with team to develop a robust Root Cause/Corrective Action program to improve internal and external provider quality performance.

+ Coordinate resolution of all quality management issues. This includes interfacing with customer of nonconformance and corrective actions. Manage internal efforts to implement timely corrective action.

+ Assure the reliability and consistency of production by checking processes and final output.

+ Appraise customers requirements and make sure they are satisfied.

+ Report all malfunctions to production and quality executives to ensure immediate action.

+ Facilitate proactive solutions by collecting and analyzing quality data.

+ Keep records of quality reports, statistical reviews, and relevant documentation.

+ Communicate with external quality assurance officers during on-site inspections.

+ Assists in strategic planning, develop, and maintain schedules, establish timelines, milestones, and reporting.

+ Determines, negotiates, and agrees on in-house quality procedures, standards, and specifications.

+ Assesses customer requirements and ensures that these are met.

+ Works with operating staff to establish procedures, standards, systems, and procedures.

+ Acts as a catalyst for change and improvement in performance and quality.

+ Directs objectives to maximize profitability.

+ Records, analyzes, and distributes statistical information.

+ Monitors performance.

+ Performs other duties as assigned.

**Knowledge Needed:**

+ IPS J-STD-001 standard soldering requirements.

+ IPC-A-610 standard inspection requirements.

+ ISO 9001 requirements and systems.

+ Electronic assembly operation processes (Incoming inspection, SMT, BGA, Thru Hole, RMA, Electromechanical and Final Assembly).

**Skills Needed:**

+ Communication; interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group including executives, managers, customers, and subject matter experts.

+ Excellent technical and analytical skills.

+ Problem solving skills.

+ Prioritizing, planning and organization skills.

**Minimum Requirements:**

+ Minimum 5 years experience in electronic Quality Assurance disciplines.

+ Bachelors degree from accredited four-year college, technical college or university, or work experience equivalent.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Previous Management experience (2-3 years).

+ AS9100 requirements and systems.

+ ISO 13485 requirements and systems.

+ ISO 9001 Lead Auditor.

+ ITAR requirements and systems.

+ Experience in Lean, Kanban and various continuous improvements initiatives.


+ Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.

**Quality Management System (QMS)**

+ Support and follow all ISO standards. These systems may include, but are not limited to, quality, the environment, health, safety, and security.
