**Quality Assurance Project Improvement Manager**


**Location:** Northbrook, IL


**Position Overview**

Kelly Science is hiring a Quality Assurance Project Improvement Manager who is responsible for the detailed planning, development and execution of projects that support the corporate Quality function. This position will primarily manage projects related to SQF certification including environmental/sanitation, GMP, HACCP programs. This is a hands-on position that will independently drive consistency in the execution of projects such as expired material disposition, re-lots and laboratory continuous improvement and optimization through the development, tracking and reporting of KPIs.


**Responsibilities**


+ Coordinate and conduct internal site audits against SQF standard and customer requirements.

+ Track and trend data for audits and corrective actions to identify continuous improvement opportunities.

+ Participate in 2nd and 3rd party audits in conjunction with Sr. Manager Quality Systems.

+ Coordinate and submit corrective action responses for all external audits.

+ Develop, track and report KPIs for monthly Sr. Management Review

+ Lead, manage and execute relots process in partnership with Planning and Shipping.

+ Lead, manage and execute expired material program in partnership with Purchasing and Production.

+ Serve as documents control coordinator by monitoring documents expirations and working with document owners on reviews, revisions, and approvals in SafeFood 360.

+ Review, update, and maintain the documented food safety and food quality programs to ensure compliance with GFSI/SQF Standards.

+ Coordinate and actively perform, monitor and reporting of environmental swabbing program

+ Support GPM customer requests about quality system program

+ Support GPM product specification requests

+ Back-up Sr. Managers of QC/QS as needed.

+ Participate in food defense, HACCP, GMP audit and food safety & quality development teams.

+ Other duties as required


**Requirements**


+ BS in food science, biology, chemistry, microbiology, or related science.

+ At least 7 years related experience and/or training equivalent combination of education and experience in food manufacturing environment.

+ Experience in SQF programs and auditing.

+ Must have GFSI/SQF experience and working knowledge of USDA/FDA regulations.

+ Ideal candidate will have experience with electronic quality, ERP and R&D/Formulation systems like SF360, D365, ProductVision.

+ Green Belt / LS6 experience a plus

+ Excellent organizational and computer skills

+ Strong written and verbal skills

+ Ability to interact with all levels of the organization

+ Ability to work independently with attention to detail


**Certificates, Licenses, Registrations**


+ Must be HACCP and SQF Practitioner trained & qualified
