**Quality Assurance (QA) / Regulatory Associate- Food / Nutraceutical, Chatsworth, CA**



The Quality Assurance Associate provides documentation and compliance support to Quality Department. This position will assure GMP compliance and will assist in the development and implementation of company quality systems.



**Pay Range:** $DOE/hr



**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**




+ Responsible for regulatory compliance functions including state/federal regulatory compliance, facility licensing and/or renewal, third party (e.g. NSF, Organic)/customer audits, product complaints and root cause investigation.

+ Performs GMP Internal Audits.

+ Generates Audit reports and ensures completion on Corrective actions

+ Works with other Departments to correct any noted deficiencies

+ Responsible for the maintenance of the Returned Goods, Customer complaints and CAPA System

+ Coordinates with QC and Production departmental supervisors on current procedures to assist in and generate SOPs, Work Instructions, Master Manufacturing Records, Logs and Forms.

+ Provides solid support to Quality Assurance Programs in areas of: creating specification, vendor qualification, fulfilling customer request, GMP training, label reviews/proof, root cause investigation, record keeping

+ Backup responsibilities to Quality Assurance Coordinator on issuance of Batch production record, CofA and Product specification

+ Other duties as assigned



**Job Requirements:**




+ Bachelor's degree (BS) in Microbiology, Food Science, Biology is preferred.

+ 2 year of Regulatory experience within the food/pharmaceutical/dietary supplement industry

+ Knowledge of FDA 21 CFR 111, State/federal regulations, City licenses and renewal, third party audit (e.g. Organic certification, NSF audit, Customer audit)

+ Strong attention to detail, excellent writing (technical/investigation) and verbal communication skills.

+ Training, presentation and Power Point experience.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint

+ Spanish-speaking a plus
