**Quality Assurance (QA) Manager Los Angeles, CA**

The Quality Assurance (QA) Manager is responsible for overseeing on-the-floor activities including manufacturing operations and component release for a nutraceutical company in Los Angeles. The position will oversee inspection of incoming materials, batch release for intermediates and final product release, and review all documentation required for disposition of components, intermediates, and finished goods in a timely manner. The QA Manager also plays a crucial support role in deviation investigations, CAPAs and change controls.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**

+ Interpret and implements scalable solutions, including quality policies, manages Quality operations and compliance as well as inspection preparedness.

+ Participate in internal audits for manufacturing, labeling, external suppliers, and sssist during FDA inspections.

+ Initiate and implement CAPAs to address findings, issues and non-compliances in the Gardena facilities.

+ Conduct investigations and root cause analysis and recommend/implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

+ Practice Change Management utilizing risk based strategy.

+ Perform trend analysis to monitor process performance and employ metrics to track the performance of operations and quality systems.

+ Adhere to Quality management objectives/priorities and the associated action plans.

+ Investigate product-related customer complaints as pertains to cGMP compliance and, in collaboration with Quality Systems, managing the CAPA process.

+ Periodically perform GAP analysis for Quality Assurance department.

+ Assure the Quality and Manufacturing comply with cGMP, and other regulatory and industry standards.

+ Support the evaluation and disposition of labeling, components, intermediates and finished goods through timely compliance evaluation of batch records, and other cGMP documents.

+ Lead and/or support investigations into variances/non-conformances and quality issues to assure that proper changes are made to guarantee continued consistent quality.

+ Write SOPs for the Quality department.

**Job Requirements:**

+ Bachelors degree (BS) in a science related field.

+ 5-7 years of experience in a Quality Assurance (QA) within a cGMP environment; or equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education preferably in OTC or Pharmaceuticals.

+ 1-2 years of QA supervisory or management experience is required. This position has supervisory responsibilities over multiple shifts and requires prior experience supervising others.

+ In-depth understanding and working knowledge of FDA and pharmaceutical cGMP regulations.

+ Solid operating skills including timely decisions, managing and measuring work along with good overall time and project management.

+ Experience in electronic enterprise quality management and documentation systems are a plus.

+ Demonstrate strong technical ability and skills in assigned work area to include product, process and/or testing knowledge.

+ Strong interpersonal skills to positively and professionally interact with colleagues and work in a team oriented environment.

+ The ability to prepare and present reports to management pertaining to non-conformances.
