Description Kelly Scientific is in search of a **Quality Specialist** to join a growing cosmetics company based in Portland, OR. The Quality Specialist is responsible for assisting the Quality Manager in the maintenance of the Management System creating and managing documents, records and reports related to quality, safety and environmental systems. The Quality Specialist will participate in the Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) process, Product Traceability, Internal and External Quality Audits, Customer Feedback, GMP inspections.

This is a temp-to-hire position working M-F 7am-3:30pm.

**Job responsibilities:**


+ Writes standard technical documentation to ensure effective manufacturing, inspection and testing of materials and products.
+ Responsible for managing documentation record control programs.
+ Conducts and report analysis of data relevant to the functional areas.
+ Monitor, customer complaints, customer returns and customer feedback.
+ Support CAPA, root cause analysis and corrective action review by directly participating in the analysis process and reporting.
+ Provide customer support for all quality issues.
+ Participate in continuous improvement projects.
+ Ability to conduct inspections and lab tests as required.
+ Directly supports GMP Program.
+ Participate in internal and external audits.
+ Assist with implementation and maintenance of our ISO Quality System as well as ISO Environmental System.
**Job Requirements:**


+ 3-5 years manufacturing environment experience.
+ Technical or Life Science degree (BS) or equivalent medical device experience.
+ Experience in FDA related quality functions in the drug, cosmetic and medical device industries preferred.
+ Understanding of ISO structure.
+ Certification / Membership in RAPS and/or ASQ helpful.
+ Advanced in Microsoft Office Tools.
+ Attention to detail and accuracy, good organizational and planning skills.
+ Highly Motivated and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
+ Solid oral and written communication skills.
+ Team player and able to interface with multiple individuals / organizational entities.
+ Bilingual in Spanish helpful.
