**Quality Assurance Supervisor**



**Temp to Hire**



**$28-$34 per hour**



**GENERAL PURPOSE**



Under the direction of the Quality Manger, carries out the programs and procedures necessary to maintain the Quality Management System QMS and an acceptable level of service and customer satisfaction as established by various regulatory, customer and company standards. Provides coverage for Quality Assurance activities, as needed.



**ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES**




+ Perform/Support internal audits as well as help implement resolution of internal/external audit findings.

+ Support external audits, both customer and regulatory.

+ Write, review and/or approve protocols and procedures.

+ Track and analyze quality metrics OOS, trending patterns, etc. and train laboratory personnel, as needed to maintain compliance, and improve processes. Writes internal validations that may include equipment, media, processes, methods, etc.

+ Communicate in writing and in person with laboratory personnel in an intelligent and clear manner.

+ Assist in identifying deviations, CAPAs, lab investigations, and OOS.

+ Keep oneself and peers abreast of current developments and trends in professional area by reading and understanding internal procedures, attending training sessions, by writing/revising SOPs as required , and by assisting Group Leader/Principal Scientists in training new employees.

+ Responsible for monitoring changes to ISO/AAMI/USP/GMP standards and ensuring laboratory protocols comply.

+ Support QA compliance related activities as needed Conducts activities in a safe and efficient manner.

+ Performs IQ, OQ and PQ validations on equipment, as applicable.

+ Is responsible for supporting the maintenance of current equipment as a backup to the calibration and maintenance program.

+ Documents all activities in accordance with GDP.

+ At higher job levels provides leadership, coaching and/or mentoring to a subordinate group.

+ Performs other duties as assigned



**EDUCATION**



Bachelor's degree in science-related field is preferred.



**EXPERIENCE**



Minimum of 4-5 years experience in quality. Quality, GMP and GDP experience required. At least one year internal and/or external auditing experience required. Experience in a laboratory setting is preferred. Computer literate with experience using MS Word and Excel, and other equipment specific software



**CONTACT WITH OTHERS**



Internal contact includes daily contact with all personnel and regular contact with management. External contact may require infrequent contact with Clients. External contact with vendors may be required

Is a fast learner, self-starter, mature, personable, and relates well to people at all levels. Displays sound judgement; good communication skills; good implementation and follow-up skills. Displays good leadership and teamwork skills.
