**Quality System Specialist (QC / QA / QS), Orange, CA**

**Shift and Hours** : 1st shift, Mon.- Thurs, 5:00 AM - 4:00 PM (4x10 schedule)

**Pay Range** : open depending on experience

**Position Overview:** The Quality Control Lead will direct day to day inspection activities and maintain efficient inspection department throughput. They will schedule inspection of materials as well as inspection personnel; coordinate training of inspectors; drive the release of materials; drive completion of product inspections; coordinate creation and revision of current QC documents; review inspection reports and make necessary electronic inventory moves. The job functions are not limited to assuring all products are produced and documented to FDA standards following company's Good Manufacturing Practices as it pertains to the manufacturing, handling and shipping of vitamin supplements. The QC lead also completes lab testing utilizing various lab equipment as necessary to compile important document control data as needed. The QC lead reports directly to the QC Manager and will follow any and all directions, job assignments as directed by the QC Manager.

**Job Duties and Responsibilities:**

+ Serve as the Administrator of the document control database system.

+ Manage and assign training curriculum for site personnel.

+ Create and maintain training plans for departmental functions.

+ Conduct training to large and small groups

+ Manage compliance of training System

+ Drive quality system harmonization with other sites

+ Implement large scale Quality System software

+ Assist in Internal Audits

+ Assist in closing audit findings and complaints

+ Proposes solutions for complex issues and works with management to resolve.

+ Intermediate to advanced ability to interpret results and situations and articulate recommendations for resolution.

+ Provides guidance to other employees in interpretation of complex data.

+ Capable of providing input within the department and cross functional teams

+ Builds relationships internally within and with cross functional teams.

+ Contributes to goals within the work group.

+ Able to recognize conflict and notify management with proposed recommendations for resolution.

+ Able to prepare written communications and communicate problems to management with clarity and accuracy.

+ Able to effectively multi-task and execute project management skills.

+ Other QA job requirements as assigned

**Job Requirements:**

+ Minimum Associate's (AA / AS) degree in Sciences or Engineering.

+ 3 + years or more working in a Quality in Quality in Nutraceutical, Dietary Supplement or Food industry. (CFR 111 and 211)

+ Strong Experience with implementing Quality Systems - Master Control

+ Experience with the following:

+ cGMP manufacturing, Quality, and compliance.

+ Training and developing training plans

+ Conducting training small and large groups

+ Master Control

+ Implementation and management of large scale Quality System software preferably Master Control

+ Other QA functions such as CAPA, non-conformances, root cause investigations, complaints and audits

**Preferred Requirements:**

+ Bachelor's (BA / BS) degree in Chemistry, Biology, Material Science, or any related field

+ Bilingual English / Spanish

+ Familiar and comfortable with QA functions such as CAPA, non-conformances, root cause investigations, complaints and audits
