Description **Quality Control Inspector, 2nd Shift, Irvine, CA – Medical Device**

**12 Month Contract/Temp via Kelly Services**

**2nd Shift: 3:00pm to 11:30pm, plus 2/hrs OT each day & 4-8/hr on weekends.**

**_*2nd shift must train for the first four weeks on first shift – this is required*_**

**Key Points:**

+ Performs dimensional/functional Inspections within the regulated Med industry. Prepares tests samples per established sampling plans.
+ Ability to Follow comprehensive work instructions.
+ High level of competency regarding attention to detail.
**Position Summary**

+ Inspect and test received materials, production assemblies finished product, packaging assemblies finished product. Complete and maintain documentation.
+ Perform audits of production.
+ Provide training
**Principal Accountabilities**

+ Inspect all types received materials, production assemblies finished product and packaging.
+ Perform first article inspections.
+ Perform material and parts testing according to written specifications.
+ Visually inspect for damage and workmanship.
+ Assure that all requirements of the documentation have been met.
+ Prepare Nonconformance Reports.
+ Complete documentation of test and inspection results
+ Assist engineers with special inspection request

+ Basic reading and math, especially decimals
+ Computer skills; word processing, spreadsheets
+ Reading engineering drawings
+ Reading written specifications
+ Reading production documentation
+ Good Manufacturing Practices
+ ISO procedures
+ Perform sampling techniques according to ANSI 21.4 or
+ MIL STD 105E
+ Use of measurement and test equipment.
+ Use of various inspection tools, including microscopes, calipers, and other inspection equipment
+ Knowledge of inspection and sampling methods
+ Recognize problems and take corrective measures
**Minimum Requirements:**

+ High School Graduate or GED
+ At least one year of Quality Control or Manufacturing experience, preferably in a regulated environment (FDA, ISO, Etc.)
+ Must be comfortable working in a cleanroom (full suit)
**Working Conditions:**

Physical Requirements: standing, sitting, walking, stairs, light to moderate lifting, direct exposure to production materials/equipment, driving, manual dexterity, hand/eye coordination, bending or stooping, pushing, pulling, normal or corrected vision, working on parts while looking through a microscope, and computer operations
