Kelly Services is looking for a Quality Control Inspector for an aviation company in Coral Gables, FL.


M-Th: 6am-4pm Direct Hire Opportunity


Hourly Rate: $18 an hour


POSITION SUMMARY: The Inspector I is responsible for ensuring that purchased parts and internally manufactured parts are compliant with drawings, component specifications and other documented requirements at different stages of production.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Uses predetermined methods, operations, set-ups and prescribed specifications to visually inspect incoming electrical and/or electro-mechanical components, in-process and completed electronic sub-units.

Uses test or inspection equipment such as power supplies, multi-meters, oscilloscopes, calipers, and micrometers.

Responsible for accepting and rejecting defective or malfunctioning components or units as per standards and procedures.

Responsible for inspection of parts prior to stocking.

Ensures parts that do not meet specifications are held until returned to the supplier or discarded.

Follows and complies with Quality Assurance policies and procedures, applicable QAI, GMPR and SPC instructions.

Documents inspection or test details by reading, interpreting, and applying engineering specification control documents (SCD) and quality control data, as required.

Uses ERP system to enter or research data as needed


JOB SKILLS REQUIRED:

Basic Computer Skills

Must be able to read schematics and interpret drawings and specifications.

Experience with MRP systems a plus.


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

A.S. degree in electronics or trade certificate program or 1 year of prerequisite electronics experience/equivalent military/technical trade experience


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Light Work- This role may require exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up 10 to pounds of force frequently to lift carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Most essential functions are performed while sitting but walking and standing is occasionally required.

Manual dexterity is required in the assembly or fabrication of parts which may result in the repetitive motion of the wrists, hands, and fingers.

Visual acuity is required for visual inspection of boards involving small defects, small parts, using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes.
