Essential Functions Statement(s)

- Manage the Quality Department workflow, including prioritization of all inspection activities and the allocation of department

resources to maximize output and efficiency.

- Work closely with Production Supervisor to identify, prioritze, and coordinate the effective flow of quality inspection activities

related to manufacturing.

- Provide direction for inspectors related to router questions/problems.

- Develop and maintain cross-trained staff for movement throught the Quality Department.

- Perform first article inspections as defined by customer requirements.

- Perform first piece and in-process inspections in compliance with instructions and customer requirements.

- Perform final and outgoing inspections as defined by procedures, control plans, work instructions, job and customer order

paperwork, drawings, etc. to ensure product acceptability prior to shipment to the customer.

- Review customer RFQs and Purchase Orders to determine requirements for inclusion in Sales Orders, Routers, and Purchase


- Perform inspections of tooling and templates used for production and inspection purposes.

- Document non-conformances and to assist in disposition and determination of causes.

- Record statistical data as defined by routing instructions and customer requirements.

- Completion of all associated paperwork, records and certifications.

- Interact with customers, suppliers, and other departments in a professional manner in addressing product quality and service


- Perform review and analysis of data to determine need for initiation of Corrective Action.

- Provide other departments with information and assistance to support them in accomplishing their objectives.

- Perform receiving inspections, including reviewing supporting documentation, to verify that incoming parts and materials meet

requirements, and are suitable for use.

- Contribute to and participate in improvement activities within the department and the company.

- Perform Audits of Dock to Stock suppliers to verify continuing compliance with requirements.

- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with policies, guidelines and regulatory requirements per the

Sealing Devices Quality System.

- Follow all company policies, procedures, and work instructions in the completion of daily activities with minimal input and

supervision to ensure successful accomplishment of company objectives.

Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required

Associate's Degree (two year college or technical school) or Work Equivalent, Field of

Study: Industrial Technology or Quality related field

Bachelor's Degree (four year college or technical school) Preferred, Field of Study:

Industrial Technology or Quality related field

Vocational Degree in a related field. Preferred Qualifications include: GD&T Basic

Statistical Techniques, basic CMM usage

Experience: 2 plus years of experience in mechanical inspection, blueprint reading, basic computer


Computer Skills: Computer skills and software knowledge are to include: Microsoft Word, Lotus Notes and Oracle

Certifications &


ASQ CQT Required or Educational equivalent (i.e. Bachelor's Degree)

Other Requirements: This position requires skills including, as a minimum, reading; blue print reading and interpretation;

math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and decimal-fraction conversions;

use of precision measuring devices including steel scales, calipers, Pi tapes, Durometer,

micrometers, and vision systems.
