Description **Quality Control (QC) / Assurance Technician (QA), Ontario, CA**

We're looking for an individual with good communications skills that can thrive in a fast growing environment possessing the wiliness to learn.

**Schedule / Shift:** 1st shift, Mon.-Fri., 10:00am-7:00pm. Overtime on Saturday consistently, candidate needs to be flexible to do OT when needed.

**Pay Range:** $15-$16/hr

**Position Summary:** This position will be responsible for inspecting the company's food safety and Quality Assurance (QA) Program. The Quality Control (QC) / Assurance (QA) Technician is responsible for conducting audits, documenting quality data, collecting samples, measuring and weighing products.

**Job Duties and Responsibilities:**


+ Responsible for monitoring the company's quality standards and regulatory requirements.
+ Conducting scheduled facility observation checks.
+ Enforce GMP's, HACCP, SOP's and Food Safety regulations and policies.
+ Monitor product and facility temperature from receiving to shipping.
+ Verify HACCP checks are being conducted according to plant HACCP plan.
+ Work with production to assure that all products are produced up to specification.
+ Apply RHD program if not in compliance.
+ Conduct organoleptic testing on raw materials and raw products throughout the entire production process.
+ Conduct package quality inspection and quality audits and isolate product that does not meet standards.
+ Maintain highest possible house keeping standards to prevent microbial contamination, this will include light sanitation duties to prevent cross contamination during processing.
+ Demonstrate accurate and complete documentation control.
+ Take corrective action when necessary and communicate the non-compliance to QA Manager.
+ Responsible for daily review of fellow QA technician documentation.
**Food Safety & Quality:**


+ Adheres to all Food Safety/Quality SOPs
+ Communicates any known or suspected Food Safety/ Quality issues to the Production Manager or Supervisor, Q.A. Department or Management.
+ Attends Food Safety/Quality training sessions
**Job Requirements:**


+ Three (3) year of Quality Assurance (QA) / Control (QC) experience in Food Manufacturing.
+ Experience working in a USDA facility in a QA /QC role.
+ Must have experience with H.A.C.C.P., SOPs, GMPs and Food Safety Programs.
+ Must be detail orientated with documentation / record keeping
+ Must possess computer skills (Word and Excel)
+ Ability to work in a hot and cold environments.
+ Must be willing to work second shift, as needed and on weekends.
+ Demonstrate analytical and problem solving skills.
+ Bilingual- English and Spanish preferred.
