Quality Control Technician - 2nd Shift

**Job Description**


Purpose:

Real time evaluation of production, subcontractor, and customer samples, documenting any non-conformances as needed regarding possible defective product. Areas of Quality coverage are Press, Digital, and Bindery. Technicians are trained in and will support all production areas.


Typical Duties (may change from time to time):

- Quality analysis will be performed at the equipment during startup, production, and final product release (AQL) in direct coordination with operations - real time process. Provide immediate feedback to Operations team in order to improve finished product quality.


- Sample analysis will be performed live at the equipment in direct coordination with operations - real time process. Ensure that all samples submitted meet the standard and customer expectations.


- Evaluate samples for fragrance rendition, product characteristics, and print/color compliance to QC standards and customer specifications.


- Evaluate and select finished product samples for internal and external customers and utilizing the sign-off okay as the standard.


- Perform incoming quality checks for all internal and external produced pre-printed stock or carriers.


- Evaluate samples from outside suppliers for fragrance rendition, product characteristics, and print compliance to QC standards and criteria, as required.


- Maintain required forms, reports, records, product retains, and file retention for supporting quality functions.


- Preparation of customer and/or distribution samples for delivery to CPM-s.


- Document and report customer and distribution sample submittals.


- Evaluate samples from outside suppliers for fragrance/product rendition, attaching, product functional characteristics, and print compliance to QC standards and specifications.


**Requirements**


- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred.

- Minimum one (1) year previous experience in quality inspection processes in manufacturing environment.

- Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) and computer skills necessary to input all data into excel/database systems.

- Trained or ability to learn Statistical Process Controls.

- Strong visual abilities inclusive of full-color vision - score well on color evaluation

- Strong odor differentiation ability - pass simple odor evaluation

- Ability to Learn: Assimilating and applying, in a timely manner, new job-related information that may vary in complexity.
