**Quality Engineering Technician**

Job Responsibilities:

+ The Quality Technician will work with quality manager and assist with quality control functions for all operations

+ The Quality Specialist will report to Quality Manager and assist with the production quality technicians.

+ Quality Specialist will work at both our Clinton and Shelby plant locations.

+ Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of processes included in the Quality Management System (QMS). Collect data and evaluate the performance of the QMS related to established quality objectives. Generate reports and/or presentations for management review.

+ Provide technical support and coordination on quality-related issues for existing production operations and new project implementations. Work with external customers as well as internal personnel to resolve issues.

+ Drive timely and effective communication on quality issues and processes. Promote awareness through written notices, presentations, and training sessions.

+ Participate in and support all quality related audits including ISO internal audits, ISO surveillance audits, ISO recertification audits, and quality system audits by external customers and regulating organizations.

+ Participate in review and approval of customer quality agreements and surveys.

+ Assist quality manager in the development, implementation and maintenance of corrective and preventive actions, continuous improvement initiatives, work instructions, quality forms and documents.

+ Facilitate data analysis, problem solving, and root cause analysis activities within the organization.

+ Participate in any required training or educational programs targeted at building additional quality related competencies.

+ Communicate issues and recommended process improvements to manager.

+ Represent organization to customers, suppliers, and company team members in a professional manner.

**Education and Experience:**

+ Associate in technical field preferred, not required.

+ Relevant work experience in manufacturing environments.

+ Ability to interpret technical drawings and understand geometric tolerances and requirements.

+ Minimum 3 years of experience supporting and maintaining an ISO quality management system. Training and experience lean manufacturing transformation a plus.

+ Experience in low volume, high mix production a plus.
