**Quality Control Technician (GMP) - Belen, NM**

**We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Control Technicain (GMP) to work with one of our top clients in Belen, NM whose focus is on healthcare packaging.**

**Job Duties and Responsibilities:**

+ Quality Concepts and Tools

+ Identify quality principles related to products and processes (monitoring, measuring, continuous improvement)

+ Define and apply continuous improvement techniques - lean manufacturing, 8D, PDCA, etc. to solve problems.

+ Apply structured meeting management techniques - creating and allowing an agenda, minutes, and ground rules.

+ Document Control - create and update GMS documents including SOP and Work Instructions

+ Statistical techniques

+ Define and determine the applicable statistical technique in various situations (calculations, charts)

+ Metrology and calibration

+ Supportive knowledge of Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE), hand tools, gauges, weights, balances, and scales, etc.

+ Perform gage R&R studies

+ Gage maintenance, handling and storage, and tracking

+ Set-up and operate QC lab equipment

+ Inspection and test

+ Perform tests following a protocol and make the report with conclusion

+ Prepare inspection plans and instructions

+ Certificate of Analysis and Certificate of Compliance management

+ Ensure In-Process control charts are within specification.

+ Assist to prepare and develop new test methods

+ Prepare training tools and train inspectors to new methods

+ Release raw materials for production and finished products for shipments

+ Perform Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA)

+ Identify and apply corrective and preventative methods for products and processes

+ Assist QNS coordinator to open, investigate, and close customer complaints

+ Performance of people

+ Interaction and other functions

+ Pilot change control and follow-up

+ Liaison with other departments

+ Assist with internal and external audits

**Job Requirements:**

+ Bachelor's degree (BS) in Chemistry, Biology, Biomedical Engineering, other Engineering field preferred, OR

+ Associate degree (AS) required, OR ASQ Certification, or equivalent experience.

+ Background in pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or medical devices.

+ Minimum 6 months experience in manufacturing environment (GMP, cGMP)

+ Quality experience performing root cause, CAPA, process orientation, deviations, handling customer complaints.

+ Great verbal and written communication skills.

+ Computer skills - Excel, Mini-tab, charts for statistics, etc.

+ Decision making, detail oriented, quick thinker.

+ Level headed, works well under pressure, stays on task.
