Description **Immediate Need Quality Engineer- Automotive Aftermarket- Garrett, IN**

Champion site quality initiatives and resources including metrics for incoming
receiving & inspection.
Participate and lead internal process and product improvement using lean
manufacturing techniques (Six Sigma) for inefficiencies.
Develop quality-process links with customers in line with the Quality
Management System including TS16949, ISO14001, PPAP, APQP, Control
Plans, FMEA and Supplier Quality Assurance processes and oversee
continued compliance.
Conduct statistical research to help prevent problems in the remanufacturing
process and measure initiatives.
Lead product specific regulatory compliance, as well as assembly build
instruction compliance.
Conduct site and customer audits.
Manage, coach and develop quality operation team that meets agreed
objectives which delivers best practice results, added value and continuous
improvements.
Develop, implement and manage objectives/key performance indicators KPI
for area of responsibility.
Work with manufacturing to implement quality improvements (e.g., defect
analysis, control charts, data analysis, lead Quality and Continuous
Improvement teams).
Manage corrective action process.
Provide support for the achievement of the operating plan and quality plan.
Develop and maintain customer relationships including supplier quality
assurance and various warranty and distribution centers.
Comply with Health, Safety and Environmental Policies.
Travel required domestic 30%.
Report weekly in detail at the Divisional Staff Meeting using a suitable task
planned activities, and to ensure that the planned activities are met in
accordance with their requirements.
Education
Requirements
Associate degree.
Knowledge of measurement and process control techniques.
Understanding of TS16949 or IATF 16949 Quality Standard.
Six Sigma Greenbelt
Desirable
Six Sigma Blackbelt, preferred
ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence
Experience and Skill
