Our client, a lead manufacturer of engineered components and other turnkey plastic products, is currently hiring a Quality Engineer. This position is a Direct Hire.


Essential Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining Quality Management System program in accordance with ISO 9001 guidelines within all facilities.

Revise and update Quality Manual, Quality Documentation Structure and Quality management processes and procedures to ensure compliance to ISO 9001 requirements and other Quality certificates.

Provide consultation to functional managers in process development, documentation, and analysis of process metrics.

Coordinate within the organization to ascertain compatibility of processes and procedures to ensure continuous integration of the quality management system.

Develop and manage internal audit program to identify process enhancements and ensure compliance with ISO 9001. Schedule, coordinate and conduct internal audits, document findings, and oversee implementation of corrective actions.

Report the performance of Quality Management System through management review meetings.

Provide QMS and internal audit training.

Serve as a Quality Representative for third party, suppliers and customers on-site visits and/or audits.

Schedule, coordinate and participate in certification and other external audits, review audit findings and coordinate responses to findings with appropriate department heads and process owners. Be the single point of accountability for providing satisfactory responses to all audits.

Manage the corrective action program, lead and document investigations of customer complaints / issues regarding process, product, and service quality, initiate and verify the corrective action.

Responsible for Supplier Quality, including supplier audits, supplier qualification and supplier evaluations.

Provide supervision and performance management to the Document Control Team.

Maintain records and documents in accordance with GP(Control of Documents) and (Control of Records). Oversee Manufacturing Records accuracy and storage.

Utilize and analyze data to drive continuous improvement.

Work closely with other managers, supervisors, leads and employees to support the objectives of the company, employees, and customers.

Assist and provide data input to the organization as requested.

Establish goals and hold team accountable for Safety, Quality and Performance.

Create a positive work environment for the team and support other department needs to foster overall teamwork.


Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in developing and managing Quality Management Systems in compliance with ISO 9001 in a manufacturing environment.

Experience in writing procedures in support of ISO 9001 compliance.

Experience in auditing, process analysis, process mapping, root cause investigation, document management and record keeping.

Knowledge of API Q1.

Proficient project management skills.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Strong interpersonal, leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to communicate effectively internally and externally.

Basic knowledge of computers and MS Office platform (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).


Educational Requirements:

Engineering degree and 5 years relevant experience in Manufacturing.


Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:

CQE, CQA, Certified SSGB Preferred.
