Kelly is hiring for a **Quality Engineer III** position with one of our clients in **Eugene, OR.**


+ 1 st shift M-F 9a-3p

+ 12 months contract (may be extended or converted)

+ $42.50/hr


Job Description:


Youll provide support for materials and products manufactured at the Eugene, OR site. The products are primarily fluorescent in nature, support the life sciences market, and are specific to protein and cellular analysis. This position will support both materials manufactured in the Organic Chemistry Manufacturing department as well as some finished good products.


+ Drive complaints from internal and/or external customers to resolution in a timely manner

+ Investigate and correct non-conformances (internal, external and systemic issues)

+ Provide Quality review and approval of all investigations, deviations, change controls, validation protocols and reports, SOPs, and in-process controls from key production teams

+ Provide Supplier Quality oversight for suppliers, resolving quality issues in a timely manner and communicating status updates and outcomes to stakeholders and business partners

+ Coordinate CAPA metrics for the Eugene Quality Assurance team, suggesting projects as required to drive improvements in timely closure and effectiveness;

+ Maintain Customer Data for the Eugene Site

+ Analyze processes or products, collaborate with Manufacturing to investigate trends, conduct root cause analysis and lead effective corrective actions

+ Recommend product revisions, process changes, and/or testing procedures to assure that QMS standards are being attained

+ Participate as internal auditor for ISO 9001 and 13485 and in external audits

+ Assume leadership role in team and site-based projects, develop technical recommendations with significant impact, and use influence to drive continual improvement in Quality and compliance

+ Operate with minimal level of direct supervision


Qualifications and Education Requirements:


+ BS in Chemistry, Biology, or Engineering (Chemical, Biomedical, or Quality) required

+ Proven work experience in the Quality Engineering area pertaining to a scientific industry, and multi-year experience in the life sciences industry preferred

+ Familiarity with and execution of principles within Certified Quality Engineer (ASQ CQE) Body of Knowledge preferred

+ Knowledge in standards including ISO 13485:2016 Medical Devices Quality Management Systems Requirements for Regulatory Purposes and ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems.


Preferred Skills:


+ Knowledge of Operations and manufacturing processes

+ Familiarity with enterprise software systems for document control, ERP, and CAPA preferred

+ Makes sound judgments and decisions and provides accurate advice on issues of work product quality and/or QMS compliance

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to details and the ability to find creative solutions that meet both QMS and business requirements;

+ Solid organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines

+ Experienced in improving Quality Management System and promoting personal quality

+ Ability to balance complex and routine issues and multiple priorities

+ Able to motivate and positively influence peers, highly energetic, and works well under stress

+ Ability to organize and present information to groups of employees, site leadership, and customers
