Kelly Services is seeking an **Quality Engineer** for our well-known client in the **Manufacturing Industry** **in Mineral Point WI** . This is a 12 **month** Contract role with a possibility of extension

**Payrate: $40-45/hr.**



**Job Description**



**POSITION SUMMARY**



Research and test the design, functionality and maintenance of products, equipment, systems and processes and develop quality standards.


**Responsibilities for this position will include the following:**


* Promote safe and right work environment at Mineral Point Plant.

* Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.

* Establishes program to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities.

* Prepare training material and conduct training sessions on quality control activities.

* Specialize in areas of quality control engineering, such as design, incoming material, process control, product evaluation, product reliability, inventory control, metrology, automated testing, software, research and development, and administrative application.

* Work cross-functionally with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering to complete Process flows, PFMEA and Control plans.

* Effectively manage new product introduction to the Mineral Point plant by driving zero defect mentality and designing process to proactively prevent defects.

* Inform and/or escalate quality issues or concerns of CES operations/processes at CMP when needed.

* Lead Process capability studies for new and current products and resolve issues as they occur.

* Lead Clients Emissions System SLP Quality processes at Mineral Point (MPT). Responsible for setting-up effective SLP processes for new product launches in both East and West buildings of the MPT facility.

* Responsible for administration work that relates to SLP findings and performance. Drive continuous improvement activities to reduce and ultimately eliminate failure modes getting through to SLP.

* Train new members and prove training effectiveness. This includes periodic reviews of Inspector capabilities on an ongoing basis.

* Assist with urgent quality containment at SLP when defects are reported by downstream SLP representatives or End Customers.

* Work on continuous improvement initiatives to drive SLP finding quality controls back into the manufacturing process.

* Responsible for Quality training of all new personnel working on the line.

* Provide reliable non-conformance reporting in timely manner to CES business stakeholders.

* Update and Publish Quality scorecards on a periodic basis to Quality and Business leadership teams.


**Position Requirements:**


* A Bachelors Degree is required for this position manager would prefer to see candidates with degrees in engineering or related fields.

* Minimum 3-5 years experience is required

* Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability

* Team player and detail oriented

* Basic ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawing, schematics and computer-generated reports.

* Previous experience with computer applications and software related to engineering field, such as Computer Aided Design (CAD)

* Need to be competent in using Microsoft Office applications and Mini-Tab is an advantage

* 6S certification will be an advantage

* Know basic Quality Management System

* Good communication and presentation skills

* Time management and organization skills
