Description **QUALITY ENGINEER – Quakertown, PA**

Our client in the greater Philadelphia, PA area, an established contract manufacturer, is currently seeking a full-time, direct hire Quality Engineer to join their team. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for assisting manufacturing, engineering, and quality assurance personnel by designing and/or implementing the necessary tools, gauges, software support, statistical analysis, root cause analysis, and personnel training to assure production of quality products in a consistent manner. **Essential Functions:**


+ Perform quality audits on product and documentation for conformance to customer drawing and specification requirements.
+ Perform the duties of Quality Assurance Inspector when required.
+ Review and approve SPC (statistical process control) data and documentation that is to accompany product shipped to the customer.
+ Perform statistical analysis and other quality control tasks.
+ Review and approve internal work instructions & procedures.
+ Perform advanced quality techniques to track, analyze and report on suppliers, materials and products to ensure they meet the customer and company quality standards.
+ Inform the Director of Quality Assurance immediately of indicating factors that would affect on-time deliveries, of quality problems that relate to product, process and Quality System requirements, and of inadequacies of measuring equipment in determining product compliance.
+ Initiate corrective and preventive action requests as required. Review Production personnel requests for corrective or preventive action and initiate the reports for them.
+ Maintains various aspects of the quality system
+ Assist others in the Quality Assurance Department when required.
**Required Education & Experience:**


+ **Bachelor’s degree in engineering** ; Mechanical or Industrial is preferred
+ **8+ years** of relevant work experience
+ **Black Belt** in **Lean / Six Sigma** is preferred (a **Six Sigma Green Belt** is the **minimum requirement** )
+ Exp. with **Advanced Quality Planning**
+ Exp. w/ **PPAP** process
+ **Validation** experience ( **IQ, OQ, PQ** )
+ **PFMEA** exp.
+ High proficiency in **Statistical Process Control (SPC)**
+ Ability to calculate and understand advanced statistical calculations
+ Exp. with precision medical devices would be preferred, but isn’t mandatory
+ Excellent verbal & written communication skills; able to communicate with all levels of company as well as customers
+ Resides within a reasonable commute of Quakertown, PA
