**Title:** Quality Engineer

**Duration:** 11+ months

**Location:** Rocky Mount NC (Whitakers)

**Shift:** Mon-Fri, 7a-5p (8 hour days, some flexibility in start/end times); 40 hours/week

**Positions Available:** 2

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**

+ This job requires a detail-oriented individual who is motivated to support key quality projects in a manufacturing environment. You will be asked to keep open communication on project progress and remain task focused. You will need to be comfortable with establishing data tracking systems.

+ Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility (GR&R) / Measurement System Analysis (MSA) Documentation and Compliance

+ Systemic Internal and External Defect Tracking

+ Systemic Station Certification for each operator based on training compliance and defect history

+ Serve as a resource on projects.

+ Exhibit effective project management and general business understanding.

+ Monitor and communicate project status to project team and Quality leaders.

+ Identify, track, and work with others to resolve project issues.

+ Assist with research and analytical support; provide input into the design and development of project plans and timelines.

+ Assist with managing project risk, using quality tools to identify areas of risk.

+ Document and shares learnings with other project leaders; draw on other teams experiences to enhance the success of the project.

+ Maintains project notes, databases, and other records; monitor, measure, and communicate with manager on status of specific projects and assignments.

+ Ensure compliance of new processes and system to the applicable standards (i.e. ISO 9001, TS 16949, etc).

+ Contributes to integration, system, and performance testing and tuning of systems.

+ Configures, analyzes, designs, develops, and maintains program code and applications.


+ Quality Systems, MSA (Measurement System Analysis) GR&R (Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility) and Six Sigma experience preferred

+ Coding and system development experience required

+ Proficiency in: Manufacturing Execution System (MES), Power BI (Microsoft software) & Quality Management System (QMS) need acronym definitions please

+ Identifying and Developing creative and sustainable solutions for Information Storage and reporting. Including system development.

+ Competencies: Problem Solving, Dimensional Metrology, Measurement Science, Technical Documentation, Schedule Management, Scope Management, Project Issue and Risk Management, communicates effectively, Action oriented, Solution Configuration, Solution Modeling, Programming, Manages complexity

+ These roles are supporting new project work for the team

**Education / Experience:**

+ B.S. in Engineering, Mechanical, Computer, Computer Science or similar major is required!

+ 3+ years Quality Experience in manufacturing environment
