Summary

Provide Quality Engineering support to manufacturing floor.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Provide quality engineering support to manufacturing lines, including floor support, non-conforming product investigations, continuous improvement activities, and change order control requests reviews.

Completion of nonconformance product investigations and corrective action/preventive action activities.

Provides quality engineering support for material nonconformance's including supplier corrective actions.

Provide support of development and continuous/sustaining engineering R&D projects, which may include: first articles, mold tool qualifications, component qualifications, product and process risk assessment, documentation and standards gap reviews, and process verification/validations.

Work with manufacturing and R & D engineers to prepare or update manufacturing work instructions, material specifications, and inspection documentation. Participate in setting inspection requirements, determine inspections methods and inspection sampling plans as needed.

Support quality control inspectors with new or revised product inspections.

Participate in Kaizen events and other Lean or 6-sigma problems solving processes.


Qualifications

Self-motivated worker, persistent, curious

Strong communication skills

Strong analysis skills

Exposure to 21CFR820 regulated medical device quality systems.

Preferred experience with performing nonconformance/CAPA root cause investigations.

Preferred experience with supporting a manufacturing assembly

Preferred experience with tissue products Preferred experience with sterilization modalities


Education and/or Experience



B.S. degree in Engineering or Science (Biomedical Engineer, Chemical Engineer, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Materials Science, Biology)

1-3+ years in an engineering role within a Medical Device company (in manufacturing, engineering or quality. Must have working experience of GMP and ISO 13485 requirements.

Physical Demands

Sitting/standing 8 hours per day. Light lifting may be required on occasion.

Ability to be in a clean room environment with varying humidity levels
