Description Quality Engineering Technician -

Quality Assurance Technician FLSA: Hourly Wage Supervisor: Q CI Manager Position Summary The Quality Assurance Technician, reporting to the Quality and Continual Improvement Q CI Manager, will be responsible for all incoming and out-going inspections. S/he will responsible for customer FAIR submission, interfacing with customers to resolve quality related challenges, handling of non-conforming material, and assisting the implementation of ISO/CI/SQS-D related activities. Key Responsibilities 1. Perform Incoming, in process and out-going inspections visual, mechanical and some electrical 2. Ensure compliance with customer quality and materials certifications. 3. Complete FAIR First Article Inspection Report as required by customer on their portal. 4. Work with external customers/suppliers to resolve quality related challenges. 5. Lead, in conjunction with purchasing, NCMR/RMA/MRB activity. 6. Improve and maintain Custom Solutions document control processes. 7. Train and mentor associates in the application of the Swagelok Quality System, ISO compliance and Swagelok Northern California Improvement System and Continual Improvement methodologies. 8. Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and SQS-D. 9. Work as directed by supervisor with an expectation of independent creative problem solving abilities. Education, Experience, and Skills/Knowledge Required Essential Desirable a Education 1.

BS degree in Engineering required or relative experience X b Experience 1. Five plus years of experience in quality related role 2. Experience helping others Skills/Knowledge 1. Thorough understanding of multiple business processes including Quality Assurance, Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, Engineering, Technology and Information Services and Customer Service. 2. Strong organizational, planning and communication skills necessary 3. Can effectively communicate to a diverse range of disciplines and professions 4. Strong computer and office software skills 5. Action oriented personality 6. Knowledge of warehouse and inventory practices and procedures 7. Responds flexibly to shifting priorities or new demands 8. Possesses significant work experience with proven problem solving capabilities
