We are proud to offer a consulting opportunity to work as a **EMS/Quality Inspector** with a prestigious Fortune 500® company working in **Houston, TX** area. Your will be responsible for defined work or projects with moderate complexity. In this role, you will follow an individual work plan, meet day-to-day short-term objectives, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.
Key responsibilities/essential functions include:


+ Perform inspections on manufactured parts, in-process inspections, FAI (first article inspections) and receiving inspection to verify product meets specifications and are free of damage or defects
+ Selection and use of inspection tools and gauges. Use of calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, optical comparator.
+ Perform dimensional inspections on machine parts using inspection tools and devices.
+ Execute inspection plans on parts.
+ Inspect machine parts for quality standards and specialty items including threads, coatings, finishes and purchased parts for production.
+ Record and complete QC documentation requirements including attachment of inspection tools and gauges to inspection record.
+ Review documentation received for compliance with procedures and specifications. Ability to use network databases via PC. Document records of work performed.
+ Perform preventative maintenance on machines using written instructions and checklist
+ Wear PPE at all times and observe health, safety and environmental policies
Qualifications:


+ High school diploma/GED plus 3 years working experience in a Machine Shop or Quality role
Proficient with software applications applicable to the job
+ Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications
+ Prior experience in inspection processes for manufacturing
+ Prior experience in Documentation Control
+ Ability to use inspection tools such as calipers, micrometer, gauges
+ Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
+ Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
+ Ability to read and translate drawings, repair procedures and quality documents
+ Basic computer skills in Outlook and Microsoft applications (word, excel, PowerPoint)
+ Successfully complete required safety training including but not limited to forklift, drugs and alcohol, electrical, emergency response, fire, first aid, health and hygiene, PPE, SIPP, risk reporting, IT security, hazardous materials, and driving
