Description **Job Description**

Kelly Services is looking for management candidates with QA/QC experience. This position required a Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering related or equivalent experience & education.

Salary will be $75K-$85K per year, based on experience.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES

* Directs the operations of the QA/QC Department to assure compliance with customer invoked specifications and Quality Assurance procedures and program.

* Coordinates with management and engineering personnel to resolve operating problems, revise production schedules, and recommend machine or equipment modifications to maximize product quality and minimize costs.

* Chooses the statistics and the type of data to be collected for statistical process control.

* Analyzes statistical data to determine causes of nonconformity to product specifications.

* Investigates customer complaints regarding quality and implements corrective actions.

* Develops and implements standards and methods of inspection, testing, and evaluation of filter quality and performance.

* Initiates procedures for disposing discrepant material and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility.

* Writes training materials and conducts training for QA/QC and production personnel.

* Performs Interdepartmental and Vendor Compliance audits.

* Visits and confers with vendors to determine and verify compliance with quality standards.

* Reviews technical publications and government specifications to stay abreast of technical developments.

* Performs other related duties as assigned by management or as the situation dictates.

DECISIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Has the authority to stop work at any stage of the production process as a result of actual or suspected nonconformance.

* Responsible for supervising and training the QC Supervisor, Test and Inspection Technicians.

* Responsible for the work of all testing, auditing, and inspection personnel

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

* BS in Engineering Related field OR equivalent education and experience required.

* 3-5 years of experience in QA/QC Management preferred. Experience in Metal Fabrication, Welding and NDE desired. Quality Auditor Training/Certification desired.

* Strong written and verbal communication skills; effective business writing skills are necessary.

* Strong computer skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office.

* Requires the ability to understand mathematical and statistical concepts. Reading skill is necessary to be able to understand professional journals, technical reports, and federal specifications.

* Management skills are needed to be able to direct the daily operations of the department.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS

* Works in an indoor office environment and also makes frequent trips to the production areas with exposure to dust, noise, and fumes.

* Communicates on the telephone and in person with employees, customers, and vendors. Reads and writes almost continually.

* Must be able to sit at a desk and operate a computer for extended periods of time.Must be able to operate a computer and keyboard with accuracy and efficiency.

* Must be able to travel throughout the facility to obtain information needed to perform job functions.

* Ability to travel to Customers and Suppliers required. (~10%)
