We are looking for a Metallurgist/Quality Manager to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for managing the company s metallurgical department and leading the company s quality assurance directives.


Working closely with the St. Louis team, you will work to coordinate a variety of goals and guide the company through its most complex technical and product related challenges. We are searching for an energetic, collaborative, critical thinker who thrives on new challenges and a quick pace.


You will lead strategic engagements that deliver key research and development goals, quality management systems, new process control research, product development initiatives, and manufacturing strategies across the company. Internal and external customers will look to you to clearly communicate strategic solutions in an informed d engaging manner.


Relevant experience with, and an understanding of, metallurgical quality standards, quality assurance systems, research and development programs, and manufacturing techniques is necessary.


The Quality System addresses: Management Responsibility, Supplier Certification, Process Control through Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis, Control Plans, Job Safety Analysis, Work Instructions, and Training, Inspection and Testing, Equipment calibration, Prevention and Corrective Action, and Internal/External Auditing.


Essential Responsibilities:


Promote safety, environmental responsibility, and continuous quality improvement in accordance with company policies Research and Development in Molten Metal and Casting Casting Process New Product Development Field Technical Service Support In-house Quality Assurance System Management Quality Programs Certification Management


Desired Skills Experience:


+ Bachelor s degree - Metallurgical Engineering or Materials Science Knowledge of Aluminum Casting and Rolling Processes Knowledge of Quality Systems, statistical analysis, problem solving, and production experience is essential.


+ 3 + years of Metallurgical/Materials Engineering experience

+ 3 + years of Quality Management participation in a manufacturing setting

+ 2 + years of Leadership in a supervisory or manager role Strong Understanding of manufacturing and quality control processes

+ Solid math background Advanced Excel skillset Must be able and willing to work the full range from theoretical to practical hands-on Initiative-taker comfortable working with minimum supervision Superior communication skills, both internal and customer-facing

+ Strong relationship management, organizational, and project management skills

+ Ability to work effectively with a variety of internal teams and business groups including technical mechanical and electrical engineering departments

+ Accountability for time and resource investments with analytics and understanding of effectiveness drivers

+ A Strong interest in technology understanding, development, and commercialization

+ Familiar with ISO and other quality system standards
